Dermatology Office of Dr. Ellen Turner

I have been with Dr Turner over a few years, I loved my experience with cosmetic procedures and decided to come back for medical and potential cosmetic procedures in the Dallas office. The nurse manager, as she called herself, greeted me in a different room after waiting for 45 mins. While she recorded my information, I expressed some concerns, not only she did not care but also responded with an attitude. When I got off the operation chair to remove my purse and tried to get back on, not only she did not help to close the extension part while standing right next to it, I tried to close it myself to get back on the chair, she told me not to break the chair. She carelessly injected numbing into my scalp, I felt light headed all day. After that, she carelessly dropped liquids during the procedure so close and almost into my eyes, when I made the sudden movement, she casually said " she said something fell on her face" to the doctor while she was holding the Q-tip with liquid right above my face. After Dr. Turner completed the procedure and walked out the room, all of sudden she changed her attitude and offered free treatment to cover up her bad manners. I understand we all have good days and bad days but that gives no reason to come to work and unload on patients which is such a dangerous behavior and I felt so unsafe around her. I am unsure how someone who has no self control is able to lead and manage the nurse team. I never received a call for my test result after waiting a month. I do not feel valued and genuinely hope this review will help improve client service as it is an important part of any business.

I took off work for this appointment and drove to the location only to receive a text message upon arrival that my appointment was cancelled. When speaking to reception, they informed me it was cancelled for not completing the paperwork. I asked when this was communicated and they sent it had been sent out by email. I have received no missed calls nor emails from the office. I never received an email regarding the paperwork and when I asked them to resend it, they were cold about it. Update: after leaving this review, I received a text message from the office stating that the dermatology office of Ellen Turner “will not be able to see you for your upcoming appointment in the office due to the review that was left.” No accountability!

I came in for three treatments following a surgical procedure, and was treated very well by Iris and Juan. They always made sure I was comfortable by asking throughout my procedure how I was doing, to ensure everything was going well for me. Very conscientious, and I would recommend them very much to assist with your needs.

Dr Turner and her team are professional, thorough and helpful. I know that all of my concerns were addressed. I feel that I can rest assured that I am in good hands medically.

I was humiliated and mistreated by Ellen Turner during my follow up appointment yesterday afternoon. I have been trying to emotionally process how Ellen Turner treated me since then and I feel obligated to leave a review for anyone considering being seen at this clinic. I have been a patient of Ellen Turner for over a year and she behaved in an unprecedented way, previous to yesterday’s appointment and I believe that’s because yesterday was the first time I mentioned any issues I was experiencing with the medication she prescribed and additionally telling her I will not be purchasing an OTC, non-FDA-approved topical drug she has been pushing on me for the past few appointments. She immediately became defensive and raised her voice at me for the rest of the appointment. It was unwarranted and humiliating. She was scary and she became angrier and angrier. She didn’t give me a chance to speak and proceeded to speak over me and dismiss my concerns. She said I was going against her professional medical advice and kept repeating that I HAD to get back on the meds and I had to use the non-FDA-approved drug. It was very unsettling. Ellen Turner ended the appointment by refusing to examine my skin even though I was already prepped to be examined and walked out the exam room after she was finished with her episode. I was told to get redressed and was walked to the front desk for payment. I have, since then, cancelled future appointments/follow ups at this clinic. I couldn’t process what was happening in that moment and I deeply wish I could go back and defend myself. I can’t believe this occurred in a professional setting by a person who’s supposed to be helping people get better. Please consider the possibility of experiencing a similar situation if you are considering being seen at this clinic. Also, I recommend looking at the lowest reviews for this clinic because you are incentivized with gift cards to write positive reviews.
