Allure Dermatology: Dr. Norma Magee

I was referred here by my doctor to come visit this office in October 2024. Office staff was friendly but friendliness does not mean competent. They first tried to have me as a walk-in to see the PA. I said no, I want to meet the MD as this is my first time visiting a dermatologist and I’d like to have an actual doctor-patient relationship as I’m sure I’m going to be returning for future treatment. They tell me their MD is very busy and I replied so am I, which is why we have appts. They scheduled me 3 weeks out to see the MD in November. I come to my appt, I waited in the lobby for 40 minutes and when I’m called in, they tried to set me up to see the PA AGAIN. I said no, I’m scheduled to see the MD and apparently to everyone’s surprise, the MD can’t see me because they’re too busy. As a patient, this is such a disservice and left me quite upset as I have a busy schedule myself and drove all the way from Brownsville. Now I’m scheduled to see the MD until February, delaying my treatment and having to manage my illness longer. As of right now, I can’t recommend this office to anyone else. We all pay so much for healthcare and to receive anything less than our needs met is such a huge testament on the growing healthcare problem in America.

Good nice place. Dr. Norma Magee was very helpful, patient and had several suggestions to follow start and if not a more aggressive approach. But very help for overall.

This was my first visit to the clinic and I saw Daisy the PA. She was incredibly friendly yet professional and she put me at ease. She took her time explaining my condition and what needed to be done for my condition. I had a skin tag removed and it was absolutely painless. I highly recommend this clinic and I highly recommend you see Daisy. Thank you for making this a great experience!

For several year I’ve wanted answers to my sons bumps he gets on his arms, legs and face. The pediatrician referred me to a dermatologist and all they said was it’s hereditary and nothing we can do about the bumps. Feeling defeated and didn’t give up and finally searched for a new dermatologist myself and it was the BEST decision!! From the front to the PA they are all nice and kind. That’s also another thing I look for being that I have worked in the medical field for 17yrs and it’s hard to find helpful and kind staff. Would definitely recommend them 1000%

Ist appointment was not scheduled! I called they rescheduled me and now tell me I have to wait because they are backed up, let's see how long they take. Definitely disappointing.
