The doctor said he was going to numb me. When I screamed he said, "Oh, I thought I'd try it without numbing first to see if you could handle it"!
Mariana took the time to update my file and meds and listen to the skin issues I had to prep the the doc before he came in. Very knowledgeable and within 2 weeks my skin issues were cleared up. Thank you!!!!!
Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend this practice to anyone looking for answers In genetics. The only beneficial thing I received here was genetic testing but no treatment options. I had to pay out of pocket for each test and appointment but as a collective my parents and I agreed that the information we were receiving wasn’t worth the money we were putting in. The practice felt hectic and appointments were rushed , they took images of me that weren’t placed on my chart and they requested me to pay a 25$ fee for the imaging they took of me (on a cell phone). He requested a skin biopsy when a skin biopsy was not necessary based on my genetic results, everything felt disingenuous and a money grab. The doctor also had an ego as he insisted my other care providers didn’t know rare diseases as he did and sending information over through fax was a waste because apparently they never received anything when I gave each of my specialist his card information. I am also now getting treatment for a comorbid condition that he swore I didn’t have within 30 minutes of meeting me. If anyone’s in the case that I am in I’d recommend you’d save your money and go elsewhere for genetic testing. This is a hard process and support is needed as we go through this. God bless .
This place is very dysfunctional. I went there 3 times during a 4 month period, there was new staff each time. Each visit felt like the first with filling out the same paperwork. The doctor was reasonably nice and seemed competent, but far from excellent. The billing for minor procedurs seemed random, over priced and was not explained in advance. At the end of it all, I just paid and wanted to be done with it. 15 months later, they send me a bill claiming my insurance did not cover a co-pay and not showing the amount I paid, which was way more than they claimed. I called to inquire about it. The receptionist, who souned like she might have been dealing with complaints all day, was rude and said someone would get back to me via email. My guess is that won't happen.
Absolutely love the consultation visits and results from visiting Dr Ghohestani. He has a fantastic attitude and always enjoys good communication. The staff is hands down the most courteous and efficient team I have ever seen. I wont go anywhere else for my dermatology visits.
