Mixed experiences with Southlake Dermatology. Been coming here for 3+ years, and seen a few different providers. One wonderful surgery, one removal that has caused problems and requires continued follow up for the poor aesthetic result. The front office is organized and efficient. Runs on time, and the front desk staff is exceptionally kind. I’ve waited to post this for a while to see if the care would improve; however, I’m sad to report that almost every nurse and PA I’ve seen struggle with customer service. When I visited two years ago, I was 10 minutes late to the appointment (I was 3 weeks postpartum), and made a joke that it’s quite an adjustment to motherhood. The nurse responded by saying, “I have three kids, and I manage to stay on time.” Fast forward to the surgery with poor aesthetic result: when the spot was removed for potential cancer, the PA shared my care instructions. I came back weeks later with a puffy, horrible scar and her advice was to “stop touching it.” Even today, I listed a few items to discuss with the PA, and the nurse said, “we only have the space to discuss three items.” (I had four. 🙂) So if you’re looking for a corporate office with many providers, clear insurance, and a multitude of services, this could be the office for you. If you’re looking to discuss your health at length or feel personally cared for, I would consider elsewhere.

Compassionate staff! Had a very good first time visit for myself. I’ve been coming here years for my two teenage now grown daughters. They make things easy for me to obtain my records from my previous now retired dermatologist.

The front staff were friendly, prompt, and on top of their game. The attending nurse (name not recalled) was friendly and competent. As has always been the case, Beth was thorough and completed the slicing of the area below my eye for a biopsy (under my eye) without incident.

This is a very well run office. I have been a patient here for more than 20 years and have always received excellent care in a timely manner. My husband and children are patients as well and we are all very satisfied with The quality of care we receive as well as how efficiently the office is run and the fact that we can get an appointment that’s not a month or more away.

Dr Bowers and the whole team at Southlake Dermatology are some of the nicest and most professional skincare providers around. They’ve successfully treated a variety of issues for the whole family. Thank you for such great care!
