Had to wait over half an hour after my scheduled appointment to be seen. Several people who got there after I did were called before me. Dr. Adams was nice, but he seemed a bit rushed. Overall, it was okay.
I normally don't write reviews, but, and not to sound dramatic, this latest experience here genuinely scared me. First, I showed up 15 minutes early as asked to get the paperwork done, which is normal. I then proceeded to wait another hour to be seen. It was kind of annoying, but I get doctors are busy. However, it went really downhill when Dr. Colbert saw me (EDIT: Dr. Rand Colbert reached out to me saying he retired two years ago so it could not have been him. I dont want to drag an innocent name through the mud and sincerely apologize to him. Im not sure why that name was given to me, but again I apologize). He came in, I showed him my skin issues, he barely glanced at them and off handedly said, "it's just a seasonal issue. You're going to need a lot of cream because it's just going to keep coming back" I interject and tell him I've had this issue for 6 years, it doesn't go away and it isn't seasonal. He ignored me and just circled a prescription on a piece of paper, handed it to me, and said, "if it doesn't go away in two weeks, come back in. The nurse will take care of you from here". After waiting over an hour, he saw me for literally two minutes, didn't listen to what I said, didn't give any instructions, nothing. Finally, I get the prescription, and decide to look it up online. Of course, you need to take any medical advice online with a grain of salt. However, I learned that the prescription I received is a very strong steroid cream, and it carries a lot of risks with continued use (by which I mean over two weeks) and he told me to use this for MONTHS. No warning about topical steroid cream withdrawals, no how often I should use it, no when to stop using it, nothing. I looked at pictures of what happens with continued use of my prescription and it's terrifying. I'm sorry about the rant. I guess I just expected better
I always love going here because they treat me really special and I feel like they really care about my dermatology needs. Dr. Adams is a great guy and so is the rest of his staff. I just met with his assistant Dr. Colbert and he was really super nice. I recommend this place to anyone including my friends and family!
Dr. Crosby was fantastic! He did a thorough exam without making me feel uncomfortable and the medical assistant was super nice! 10/10 experience
Dr. Matthew Crosby is an excellent dermatologist. I did not expect to agree to have a procedure done during my 1st visit with him because it involved an excision from the inner corner of my eye near the tear duct. I was very nervous about that. But Dr. Crosby's credentials (the reason I asked for him to begin with), his calm and professional and compassionate demeanor without pressuring me was enough to convince me that I was in good hands. I am not easily convinced, but the procedure was done. I waited to see how the area around my eye healed before writing this review. I am exceptionally pleased. The entire support staff and the office environment is very pleasant so my overall experience was very good.
