Dr. Aria is a good medical professional, however lacking in business / office structure, oversight, and practice acumen. 9/27 - I called for appointment. After a 10min 'prequalification' an appt was reluctantly set for me, as the male office employee still wasn't sure if my insurance would be taken - even after I offered that I would self pay. I was left with the feeling the staff member was looking mostly to find a reason with the insurance not to schedule me. This should have been by first signal to run. 10-6 - Arrived for said appointment, but no appointment was found! Nothing could be done, - ' oh well, - and since you are here, take this paperwork because you are considered a new patient again'. (Ok, fine - it's not likely I've been seen since before covid). However this was my second signal to run. 10-11 - Arrive for rescheduled appt. turn in paperwork and asked for ID & Insurance card..... ok. Except, I have no card because my insurer hasn't issued paper cards in years. They act like this is novel. The staff bickers behind the desk about "what to do when they forget their card" and then about some magic thing missing from the counter that was apparently supposed to suck up my digital card. Eventually someone hands me a post it with an email address to send card. Fine. Except - Not enough signal in the office to connect to my app, so ask if they have wifi. No. So - I step into the street to try outside. Again / still - not enough signal. With no luck after 15 minutes from my scheduled appointment it occurred to me I have spent SEVERAL hours of my own time attempting to be seen at this location - including a lost appointment, two trips over, and with each staff interaction left feeling that the primary focus of the team was to qualify and obtain paper cards from insurance in order to be seen. That was enough. I asked for the forms containing my PII returned, and walked. It's time for me to find a care provider that wants to see patients, not screening insurance as a qualifier to see patients first. Dr. Aria, I was a patient of yours for near 2 decades. I'm saddened to lose you as a care provider, but apparently you have enough of a long-term client base of persons with more regularity that you can withstand the team and the administrative barriers to being seen in your practice. Your care was great, but not enough to overcome the office admin challenges. :(
I went to see Dr.Aria the staff was very friendly. Dr.Aria didn't take long to diagnosed my condition. One of the best Dermatologist in the area and I didn't wait to see her.
I had a thoroughly pleasant visit and exam with Dr. Aria. She made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions pertaining to medical and cosmetic procedures. She didn't rush me and completed my procedure as quickly and painlessly as possible.
I have seen Dr Aria for more than five years for. Variety of skin issues. She is very knowledgeable, honest, and practical. I have had three small procedures with her, all of which were quick and relatively painless. She also has her own line of effective skincare products. I have had to wait a little for my appointment time before but the negative reviews do not reflect my experience with staff. They have all been professional and welcoming when I was there. Wait times in NOVA are very normal and to be expected.
Overall, my visit went smoothly, but I didn't feel the doctor was knowledgeable enough to diagnose my concern. In lieu of that, she was willing to listen to my request for prescriptions in addition to her suggestions. I docked one star because the office person that handled the wait list was not friendly or willing to contact me on cancellations. I was unable to get an earlier appointment and had to wait nearly two months for an appointment. I probably will not return.
