Carilion Clinic Family Medicine - Hillsville

I can’t say enough nice things about Carilion Clinic and the staff at Hillsville & Galax. We see Cathy Burns in Hillsville and are so pleased. She seemed to be so knowledgeable and actually has read our charts and knows our history before she sees us. Her bedside manner is five star! My 95y/o dad sees Dr. Prior in Galax and I’m very pleased with the care he gets there also. We look forward to a long term relationship with your practice.

Dr. Neilson, is what all doctors should be. He is the kindest, most knowledgeable doctor I've ever seen, and I've seen allot of doctors. He will do his utmost to get a correct diagnosis, and will make an immediate referral to someone that can help. He listens to his patients, considers all options of treatment and selects the best one for that patient. I suffered for many years with my knee, being told by other doctors there wasn't anything they can do, and when I saw Dr. Neilson for it, I was scheduled for a knee replacement within 1 month. I trust this man with my life, and do not only consider him my doctor, but most importantly, I call him my friend.

FNP Colleen Slate has treated me very well. Dont know who the other folks were talking about but Colleen and the ladies were very professional and treated me very great and made every effort to respect me called me Mr. Newman and get my Diabeties and High Blood pressure under control...I highly recommend Mrs. Slate and the ladies!

I seen dr neilson. He said called my medicine into cvs. I went to cvs. Cvs said dr office said only call one prescription, instead of 2. Either neilson is lying or cvs. No boby will tell me the truth. Doctors are to do no harm. What about the truth!?
