My appointment was scheduled with the PA, Alex, and everything about my visit was easy! When I called I was able to schedule an appointment for the following week. When I arrived for my appointment I only waited about 10 minutes before I was seen. Alex was so sweet from the moment she walked into the room. She took the time to truly listen to what I had to say and answer my questions. I’ve been on the treatment plan she recommended for 2 days and my issue is already beginning to clear up. I would recommend this office, and more specifically Alex to anyone!
Dr. Smeena Khan is an excellent doctor. She explained everything in detail. Making me completely comfortable and understanding with what was done at my visit, and the procedure coming up. Very much a professional in her field. I will share and recommend with friends and family.
Dr. Kahn is a kind and compassionate provider. I never feel rushed. She genuinely cares and spends the time to understand everything that is going on with my health not just dermatology. Extremely smart and has a wide knowledge of many issues. She was the first one to help me when I was struggling with an autoimmune disease and help me find answers.
I had an excellent experience with Huma! She is incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to fully understand my concerns. Her professional and warm demeanor made me feel completely comfortable throughout the process. She provided clear explanations and personalized care while making sure I felt informed and supported the entire time. I HIGHLY recommend Huma for anyone looking for top-tier expertise and a beyond fantastic experience in dermatology and aesthetics!
Went in at the advice of my rheumatologist to inquire about melesma on my cheeks due to medication that I’m taking for my Interstitial Lung Disease. The doctor was not accepting more patients so they made an appointment for me with the PA, Alex. I explained my reason for coming in, filled out the gazillion page history which included current medications and explained, in person, the medication I’m on and that my doctors referred me to her bc they think that could’ve causing the melesma. I felt like she just rushed me through the appointment, didn’t bother to understand the patient and treated it as if it’s the same issue as someone else with melesma that doesn’t also have an ILD that’s taking a certain medication that can cause blood thinning. A quick google search explains that I should NOT mix the medication she prescribed with what I’m currently taking. Which again, was provided on my paperwork and discussed in my rushed appointment. I left with $2-300 bill of all these things she advised me to do and take to treat the melesma but yet not really an answer to my actual reason for coming. Bc when I asked, it was just a rushed do this, this and this. Good bye. I asked for a callback to discuss bc I left completely confused and didn’t know what the heck I was supposed to do. Never got the callback. Finally I called them again to cancel my follow up and explain why so the PA told her assistant to tell me to possibly triple my dosage of tranaxemic acid pills and stop my birth control pills. I’m glad I never listened bc I did a google search and the other meds that I’m taking for my Interstitial Lung Disease, MY WHOLE REASON FOR THE VISIT, should NOT be taken together. According to available information, combining tranexamic acid with Ofev (nintedanib) is not recommended as it can significantly increase the risk of thromboembolic events (blood clots) due to the additive effects of both medications; essentially, taking them together could considerably raise your chances of developing a blood clot. Yea, so next time, try listening to the patient before advising them to triple medication that could increase chances of a blood clot.
