I go here to get my opsipical nerve shots and my botox shots for my migraines. I also have a great neurologist as well. The office is very nice, there is plenty of seating and the receptionist are very nice. The building is easy to find, and the office is easy to find. They have plenty of doctor's there as well with different specialty.
The receptionist at this practice is atrocious, I don’t know what is going on in her personal life that causes her to act this way to people just trying to get some help or if she was just born with hate in her heart but she is terrible, it’s almost like she’s trying to deter patients from coming to the practice to lessen her workload. I called to find out with what was going on with getting my husband in for an appointment for epilepsy evaluation, mind you these are patients with neurological disorders and that is already a scary thing!!!!! I don’t know anything about health insurance or neurology practices or the medical field and am just looking for some help to make sure my husband is okay and healthy. She answered the phone with a sigh like she didn’t want to do it, I was very polite because I was raised to be that way I don’t know how she was raised maybe by wolves , I said yes mam I saw an appointment was made for my husband by his scheduling team and just wanted to see if it was made or what was going on , she instantly got nasty just asking for his name and said “ yes it was made but I don’t know how they were even able to make this appointment” like it was a problem, I ignored it and remained polite, she then told me it was cancelled because they don’t accept his insurance. I asked politely “you don’t accept anthem?” She got even nastier and started going on a disrespectful rant about yes they accept anthem but not under an umbrella and you need to call the insurance. I tried to ask what that means because I’m not a professional and am just trying to understand, and she just kept raising her voice higher and speaking over me. When she was finally quiet I said “mam im sorry if I’m bothering you I’m not trying to I just don’t understand what this means and am just trying to get a better understanding.” She then lost it , “YOU ARENT BOTHERING ME RAR RAR RAR” I said you sound a little bit frustrated and I just want to apologize if I’m frustrating you I’m just trying to get some help. Then she got angrier, she said “ I WASNT FRUSTRATED BUT NOW I AM BECAUSE YOU ARE FRUSTRATING ME NOW BECAUSE YOU DONT KNOW ME AND I DONT KNOW YOU AND RAR RAR RAR ANGRY” and in my head I was like what the heck is going on with this lady, Why is she working in a neurologist office because this is serious stuff and she doesn’t have an ounce of compassion. I politely asked to speak with someone else at the practice and she told me I would have to hang up and call back. I was shocked that she would be able to continue working in the office after the way she spoke to me. God forbid she continues to speak that way to other people throughout the work day. This was a horrible experience and I am immediately looking for another option. Like I’m trusting you with my husband’s brain and this is the welcome I get that is beyond frightening. The thing is even with insurance not covering it I still would have been willing to pay out of pocket to make sure my husband is healthy and okay because this is where his doctor referred him to and we are just trying to trust the medical system. We are not medically educated and greatly appreciate any explanations or help. I cannot believe this lady is employed in this field of work and really hope they consider this interaction and give her some sensitivity training or if she is beyond help just let her go. Completely turned me off to any bon secours location. Because their employment standards are very low and that is concerning especially in the medical field.
i will not be returning because a physical exam was preformed on me by a male doctor without a female nurse in the room. i wasn’t made aware of certain areas on my body that were going to touched and therefore was never asked if it was okay. i was extremely uncomfortable and upset.
I tried to give them multiple chances but I am done with them and will be calling the patient advocacy line. 1) I see Sean O’Laughlin who is frequently mentioned in the reviews below. A few months ago I was running low on medication. My pharmacy frequently contacted the practice repeatedly and kept getting dodged or the run around. The practice would tell them that they were doing their part to get the prescription to them and never once had initiated the process. I even intervened to try and speed up the process and was given the same treatment. An epileptic went roughly 2 weeks without antiseizure medicine because the office seemed to not care. I started having migraines, slurring words, and could barely function due to withdrawal. My pharmacy ended up giving me a bottle which we paid full price for, $150+, since there was not a prescription ever sent in from the facility. 2) Fast forward to today- I called twice to let them know I was running behind. They told me that as long as I come within the 15 minute grace period that I could be seen. I drove 45 minutes to get there and arrived within that time frame just for them to tell me I still couldn’t be seen. I mentioned my multiple calls and the receptionist says that it wasn’t them that told me that it was “the call center” which is the number listed on their site to call. I guess they’re too busy laughing and playing around at the receptionist desk to actually speak to patients. They’re telling me I have to reschedule.. there are no open appointments until 2025. I just left and told them to forget it. Being a patient here has been nothing but a hassle and it’s not worth the headache for the ten minutes that the physician spends of their day to talk to you. I’m looking forward to finding a new group of competent people that care. No wonder the reviews are so low as is. I shouldn’t have given them the benefit of the doubt.
The appointment was fine but dealing with the billing department is a hassle. Almost one hour to get a representative on the line. When I first called to schedule my appointment, I provided my insurance information and was told the bill will be process through my insurance. As it turns out, the bill was not processed and now I had to pay almost $500.00 for a single visit!!! That's outrageous. I explicitly asked if my insurance would cover the appointment. I will not go back. I did not even get a discount either. Horrible billing experience. I am very disappointed. Zero stars for the billing department.
