What can I say, this was quite possibly the best experience of being in a vulnerable state and sharing the experience with someone in the medical industry. Not only was there zero judgment, but Dr. Kochuba was a listener and encourager, while also being incredibly professional and just plain old good at his job. The surgery went well, the staff who greeted me on the first day, walked with me into the surgery room, and the follow-up appointments treated me graciously and with so much medical experience, I completely trusted them all through the whole process. If you’re thinking of doing something like this, go and meet with Dr. Kochuba, he is excellent and I cannot recommend him enough.

Dr. Kochuba is truly one of a kind. His warm and engaging personality made the consultation easy and informative. He is upfront in explaining the purpose, possibilities and limitations of the requested procedures to set realistic expectations up front. Surgery went well and all follow up appointments were handled personally by him and his caring staff. I am planning a second unrelated surgery with Dr. Kochuba and tell anyone who asks what an artistic and talented surgeon he is. I had to have reconstructive work done from a previous surgeon's work and I found Dr. Kochuba based on extensive research and very positive patient reviews online. In meeting with him for my consult, which was within two weeks of reaching out, I got a great gut feeling about him, his bed-side manner, knowledge and compassion with my situation. I felt that I could trust him after that initial consult which was a HUGE deal for me...trust is key with any doctor and their team and I felt that immediately from this team. He spent the time listening and going over multiple courses of action which I appreciated because he truly cared about my well being. He was so thorough at every appointment with his explanations and always walked through everything to ensure I was on the same page and understood what he was saying. His team took such great care of me from the moment I showed up until my last appointment post-surgery. The surgery could not have gone better and he was so clear with the work that was done and even showed me pictures taken during surgery, which I had requested! My biggest learning here is that I should have gone to him from the start because his work was perfection! The fact that the surgical center was connected to their main office was a definite PLUS and very convenient!
