I came to Dr. Rostami by the reference of my Optometrist to treat me. She was very supportive and after some tests, she told me that I needed surgery on my eyelid, she performed it 2 weeks ago and the results have been great. The entire staff and team have been very kind and always willing to help or answer any questions. I recommend her 100%.

Dr. Soheila Rostami performed my eyelid surgery. The final result is incredible. During the consultation, surgery, and post-op, Dr. Rostami and her staff explained the procedure, the recovery process, and followed up with a post-op session to make sure the results were as expected. The staff is welcoming and they rescheduled appointments when I was stuck in my work meetings. The overall experience and results were above and beyond and I highly recommend Dr. Rostami.

In September 2023 I noticed a darkening mole below my right eye. A biopsy revealed it to be melanoma, and my dermatologist referred me to Dr. Rostami of Sanctuary Cosmetic Center. Surprisingly, my dermatologist did not know that cosmetic surgeons do not perform melanoma removal surgery. Thankfully, not only did Dr. Rostami understand the process of both cancer removal surgery and cosmetic repair, she helped me find an excellent cancer surgeon. The cancer surgeon removed about a square inch of skin below my right eye during two procedures over three days, ensuring that all of the cancer had been removed. The open wound that was left following the surgery was extensive and became the repair challenge that Dr. Rostami accepted. The night before my appointment with Dr. Rostami, I sent her a picture of the open wound below my eye. She immediately called me, reassuring me that she could repair the wound, and explaining the process in detail. She said that because of the extent of the damage, it would be necessary for her to graft skin to the open wound, and then sew my eye shut for six weeks, allowing the wound to heal. Thankfully, based on how Dr. Rostami had walked me through the initial cancer surgery I required, and then her explanation of the cosmetic repair process, I trusted her completely. I came to her office the following day and underwent surgery that was much more complex than the cancer removal surgery. Dr. Rostami first removed skin from my left eyelid, and then grafted that skin on to the open wound. I was thankful to finally have the wound closed after the 4 days it had been open and bandaged, but the appearance of the eye was ‘interesting’ to say the least. However, Dr. Rostami was reassuring, and stated that she was pleased with the result. Having my eye shut was an inconvenience, but of little concern if the operation could return my eye to some semblance of normalcy. What I witnessed over the next several weeks was nothing short of incredible. As the scabbing from the wound slowly shrank, what was left behind was skin that looked just like the skin below my other eye and the rest of my face. Friends and family were amazed, having seen pictures of the gaping wound Dr. Rostami had to start with. When Dr. Rostami opened my eye I felt that she had performed nothing short of a miracle, but being a perfectionist, she was not yet done. She told me that it would take about a year to get the skin to where she would be satisfied with it, so I continued to see her for several months, as she worked to remove what little scarring there was. Every day as I look in the mirror, I’m thankful that I found Dr. Rostami. On my last day, after a year of treatment, she thanked me for trusting her, which struck me as funny for someone who had done so much for me. Maybe it was her understanding of what I needed when no one else seemed to understand, her calm/competent demeanor, or that everyone in her office seemed happy and proud to be supporting her. Dr. Rostami definitely earned my trust, but also my admiration. I hope that anyone who finds themselves in need of help, as I did, that they will be fortunate enough to have Dr. Rostami as their caretaker.

Dr. Rostami and her staff are very friendly yet professional. I knew what to expect during and after my procedure. I would recommend Dr. Rostami and her practice to my family and friends. An overall excellent experience.
