I saw Jodie Neal, the Aesthetician. She went above and beyond to help me. I am so pleased with her service and “bedside” manner. She is very knowledgeable and caring. I highly recommend her services and Pariser Dermatology.

I was recently seen in the Suffolk office. Dr beer was top notch but his assistant was very inappropriate unprofessional. She was talking badly about one of her co workers. And made me very uncomfortable. Her name was Katelyn. Loved dr baer.

Me, my husband and our daughter were there yesterday at the office in Suffolk, VA and our experience was less than good. We came in for a wart removal for our daughter. First, when Dr. Baer came in to look at our daughter’s warts he did not wash his hands before or wear any gloves when examining her. Not wearing gloves and touching warts can spread the virus. When I asked him why he wasn’t wearing gloves he told me “I’ve been doing this for 40 plus years and haven’t had any warts “. At some point he told us that the virus lives on the top of the skin. If that’s true then why wasn’t he wearing gloves and touching all over her hands and face?? My daughter has spread her warts from her elbow to her hands and eventually it got in her nose from touching it… It seemed very unprofessional and down right unsanitary. He didn’t even wash his hands after and he was touching the door and who knows what else. When we brought the concern up to his helper Katelyn Tedesco she just brushed it off and told us he’s been doing this for awhile and if your not susceptible to wart’s you’re fine and that she wipes down everything when we leave. She kept going back and forth with my husband sticking up for the fact that he wasn’t wearing gloves and making excuses. Wiping down everything after we leave doesn’t stop the spread because we would be touching the same door he just touched after touching all over our daughter’s warts. When we were walking out my husband heard Katelyn “venting” to a coworker about us. Dr. Baer was touching all in her nose and then her hands and he even for some reason touched her face in a very weird way. He kept touching her hands and even at one point smacked her leg. He made her feel VERY uncomfortable with the way he was touching her. It was unnecessary to touch her the way he did and it seemed very odd. She was upset after the appointment and after we got her from school later that day she told us how upset she still was from the way he made her feel. I get he had to examine her warts, but the way he was overly touching her was VERY unnecessarily. We did end up speaking with the clinical supervisor and she got us another appointment with a different doctor. It seems so strange to me that he didn’t wear gloves and how he was being touchy with our daughter. He was so comfortable doing it too so it seems like it’s happened before. I do hope that something is done about this because it is wrong how things were handled yesterday.

Excellent experience, everyone was polite in the office. The dermatologist was one of the best. Dr. Robert Baer made me feel at ease and took his time. I have recommended him to family members. The doctor was 100% professional.
