Wirt A Hines Ph.D., M.D., Anacortes Dermatology

Today was my first visit with Dr Hines. My regular medical provider recommended him. He is kind and thorough, I feel I am in good, competent hands. He and his medical assistant explained the procedure carefully and discussed the future possible outcomes. My appointment started on time, which I always appreciate.

He was brief at best, I did not feel heard when he swiftly left the very short but very expensive office visit. I would not go back to him. Edit: my review has nothing to do with cost, although it would have been nice to verify if they were in network first. My issue is the brevity of the encounter with the actual doctor. Having someone taking notes was great, but I felt like he was in a hurry and not really interested in spending a moment longer than absolutely necessary with me.

My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Hines for several years. We have found him to be an excellent provider of dermatological services. About a year ago, he spotted a spot on my back that turned out to be melanoma, which required surgery. In my mind, Dr. Hines saved my life.

I highly recommend Dr. Hines. He is extremely skillful, competent and knowledgeable. Combine this with great communication and thoughtful caring for my questions and concerns creates a stellar patient experience. Dr Hines provides the latest advancements in dermatology while delivering a personalized level of care. I put my trust in Dr Hines.

Dr. Hines is extremely professional and was great to work with. I visited him for a mole checkup and felt comfortable the entire time. He took the time to explain factors that impact my skin specifically and ensured that I understood. No quick in and out appointment, I was treated with the best care and left feeling great! I will recommend Dr. Hines to all of my friends and family for dermatology treatment.
