Ruth and Hayley were phenomenal. My first ever massage and Ruth made me feel so comfortable and relaxed as well as Hayley for my facial and Lashes. So comfortable I fell asleep! Lol. I can’t wait to go back for my next massage and facial.
I've gotten several massages over the years at Personal Refelction Day Spa and most recently had the pleasure of Ruth being my masseuse. You can tell she really understands the body and communicates and implements her plan of action incredibly well. All massages feel "good" for the most part, but Ruth was on another level, perfectly adjusting her pressure to my comfort and routinely checking in. I'd highly recommend utilizing her cupping skills!
I've gotten multiple massages at Personal Reflections over the past couple of years, and, until recently, I've been delighted with the services I've received. However, my experiences with them have changed recently and I'm extremely disappointed in, and frankly shocked by, their lack of customer service. As a small business owner myself, I know how important customer service is - and, while I don't expect every business to operate the way mine does, the customer service at Personal Reflections is highly flawed. So, sadly, I have to say that I will no longer recommend, or give my business to, Personal Reflections. Recently, I booked a 90-min Swedish massage with a massage therapist (MT) that I haven't gone to before. I arrived about 5 mins early and left my phone in the car to prevent distractions. As I was waiting, I noticed that they don't have a clock and started to wonder what the time was because I felt like I had been waiting way longer than 5 mins. After some time, a customer came out of a nearby massage room and the MT started getting it ready for the next customer. Afterward, she introduced herself as my MT and stated that she was ready for me - which was clearly well passed my original appointment time, but since I had no clue how long I had been waiting, I didn't say anything. Besides, things happen and schedules run behind sometimes - no big deal. I had my massage and it was absolutely fantastic! One of the best I've ever had, actually. I paid my bill, gave my MT a big tip, and left very relaxed and happy. A couple of weeks later, I booked the same massage with the same MT. I had the option of choosing an 11:15 AM or an 11:30 AM appointment and went with 11:30. Personal Reflections called and left a voicemail asking if I could change my appointment to 11:15 AM, but before I could get back to them, they sent me an email and called again confirming my appointment for 11:30 AM. I arrived at 11:25 for my appointment, left my phone in the car, checked in, and sat in the waiting room. After some time, I felt like I had been waiting way too long and walked up to the front desk to ask for the time. The same lady who checked me in said that it was 11:52 AM and went to check with the MT "to see what's going on." When she came back, she said that the MT was just "finishing up with another customer." HOW in the world was the MT with another customer? Especially since 11:15 was unbooked when I booked my appointment? And why didn't she tell me that my MT just started an appointment with another customer just TEN minutes before I checked in at 11:25? In 10 mins' time did she really forget that someone else had just checked in with the same MT? I highly doubt it! Which means that she knew that I'd be sitting there waiting and said absolutely nothing! They clearly have no respect for their customers. At that point, I was highly upset and told them to cancel my appointment. Instead of trying to make the situation right, she asked if I could stay for a 60-min massage. As a business owner, I know that time is money - so filling their schedule equals more revenue. Which means that not only did they intentionally book a customer 15 mins before me (knowing that it would interfere with my appointment) but they also tried to get me to do a 60-min massage to avoid having "dead" time (with no revenue coming in) on the schedule between 12:00 and 1:00. I told them to cancel my appointment and left. This whole thing happened 2 weeks ago and I haven't heard one peep from anyone at Personal Reflections about it. They obviously don't care and probably do this to their customers all of the time. UPDATE TO REPLY: As I stated in my review, the only person I talked to that entire day was the lady that checks you in at the front desk. So if she's not the office manager, that's 100% untrue. If she is, the only discussion that she and I had, is what I've already stated in my review. So, I'm not sure how that would have "addressed my concerns in a satisfactory manner." If the owner would like to talk to me, my contact info is in your system.
Beautiful spa atmosphere. Very attentive staff. Can't wait to come back for more treatments.
The staff was friendly and the interior is nicer than the exterior suggests. The massage was good but they are charging Michelin prices for olive garden services and the charge extra for every little thing that comes free at other spas.
