I saw NP Rachel Scullion, and I will say she is truly a gem. Extremely personable, amazing listener, and very thorough. She took her time and listened to everything I needed. I have never felt so comfortable with a provider. Kudos to jer AMAZING care!

The level of disrespect I experienced from Dr. Smullen today ensures that I will never return to this Prevea location. I brought my son in due to a high fever, vomiting twice, and shaking. I explained these symptoms to both the nurses and Dr. Smullen. The appointment began with him asking why I was there. After I explained my concerns, he responded dismissively, asking what I expected him to do. When I requested my son be tested, he questioned me multiple times, implying it was unnecessary and even condescendingly asking why I wanted testing done. Despite explaining my reasons—such as needing to identify the illness for work obligations and ensuring my son’s well-being—I had to repeat myself multiple times before he reluctantly acknowledged my request. Throughout the visit, Dr. Smullen appeared annoyed, both by our presence and by my son's crying. Shockingly, he mocked my toddler while he was on the examination table, which was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Although I understand that our appointment was near the end of the day, as a medical professional, Dr. Smullen should exhibit patience, empathy, and a willingness to listen. It is unacceptable for any patient to feel belittled or dismissed, especially when seeking care for a young child. No parent should have to repeatedly justify their concern or be treated as though their requests are unreasonable. This experience has been deeply frustrating and disappointing.

Having healthcare in Kewaunee is great! And as a bonus, my primary care provider, Rachel Scullion, APNP, is the best primary care provider I have ever had.

Dr Rachel Scullion is who I have a s a doctor. She goes above and beyond for me as her patient. Answers all of my questions and in a way i am going to understand. She is awesome. The staff as far as nurses are on point eith everything and the desk ladies are always wonderful as far as greeting you and making you feel comfortable and welcome.

Very impressed with how quickly we got in to have my daughter seen. Doctor answered all my questions, and we got out of there quickly, which was important, because my daughter wasn’t feeling well and I just wanted to get her home to rest. I will definitely go back to this clinic with any urgent care needs for myself or my family.
