Crook County Hospital - Sundance Clinic

This clinic should be the billboard example for outstanding patient care… I stumbled into the clinic today with a dog bite and needed some assistance. Being from out of state, I really wasn’t sure where to go. The clinic doesn’t normally offer walk in appointments, but the front desk got up to ask a nurse prior to sending me away due to the bite. The nurse, who also happens to be the office manager, walked up front to talk to me and look at the bite. Instead of turning me away, she walked me to the ER to determine the next best steps. Once we chatted with the ER doc, she took me back to the clinic where I was able to get the treatment I needed minus the rabies treatment because they were out. They could have ordered it for me, but since I am staying in deadwood it made more sense to have it done in deadwood. When it was time to leave, the office manager gave me her card to call if I had any issues or questions. Being a professional in the medical field, I have experienced care on both ends of the spectrum. The care I received today was incredible. Huge shoutout to the two ladies working the front desk, the manager/nurse, and the ER doc. They improved my bad day significantly with their care.

As an out of towner, needed to have blood drawn and checked before going to the lab to make sure I had all my out of state orders ready to go. Heaven L answered my questions, made sure I had my ducks in a row before I showed up at the lab. She was courteous, knowledgeable and made this visit for the blood draw a total success. Registration was friendly, a breeze, registrar escorted me to the lab and was greeted in a friendly, welcoming, timely manner by the phlebotomist. As I was called in to have blood drawn, Heaven peaked into the room to introduce herself as she had been helping me get to my appointment. I was glad so glad to meet her and put a face with the voice on the phone. This is the kind of human kindness everybody hopes for when going to a new lab/hospital. Heaven is the perfect example of exemplary service and human touch in such a small town. Please know that today you’ve made somebody feel special and welcomed. Thank you for that.

Would highly recommend the Sundance hospital. The doctors and nurses have been fantastic. I had to bring my mom in because she has been fight c diff. It has made her very week. Enough to the point she fell and broke her leg and ribs. Your hospital saved my mom's life. The hospital has been taking amazing care of her and me. We will definitely be coming here from now on.

Very impressed! They got our son in without appt right before close and doc took time to call back the next day to check on him.
