Dealing with billing at this doctor’s office is almost offensive it is so bad. When you call, expect to be placed on hold and disconnected after 5 minutes. Call back, same thing, you have to stop them from placing you on hold. From there, you’ll be sent to 5+ different phone lines to get to the right place and then billing will place you on hold. Again, disconnecting after holding for 5 minutes, starting the revolution over again. They don’t have many people staffed, so if one person handles something for you, and they do it incorrectly, the other person will have no record of it and will not be able to help you. So you will need to call back when that person is in the office again- they will not call you back. Is this person out for a week? A day? Who’s to say. It’s just not worth it. Go to someone that accepts payment online. (This office states they do but they do not.)

I went to their new very large office & saw Dr Mafong’s PA. Great women. I highly recommend them both to anyone needing Dermatology. Centrally located in Downtown Chula Vista. Close parking & no meters.

First appointment went very well. I really liked Amy E. But, very soon after I left my first message with questions for Amy. I realized they do not care enough about my questions or needs because they do Not return messages. Amy cannot be bothered with replying to my messages. I told them I had questions about the product they gave me to use. I am still waiting for Amy to reply. I will not be returning to this office. I would not recommend this place. The back office sounds like a gossip party and I don’t believe they are organized at all. I was not even given instructions with my product. And all ingredients they claim are in the product aren’t even specified on the label. Waste of my time.

Location changed and it appeared as though some patients were having trouble finding the right building. I walked in for my appointment to the receptionist loudly repeating the building number and obnoxiously raising her voice at a patient over the phone that they were not at the right building. She proceeded to mute the call to talk crap multiple times and say “she’s been here before I don’t know why she’s like this”. She did this for a few minutes before I told the other receptionist that I think I saw the lady outside because she looked lost at the bank next door. The one who was raising her voice with the patient was extremely rude and her choice of tone with the sweet elderly patient was distasteful. She then rudely said she would go find her and when they came back up the elderly lady couldn’t have been more kind. When the patient left the room, the receptionist laughed it off. I didn’t get her name but she worked the morning of 10/23, with red and blonde hair. She needs training or should not work in customer service. The other receptionist lady was nice I just wish she stepped in when her colleague was being unprofessional.

Amy and her team were very gentle and professional and the end results are amazing 🤩
