CK Derm | Humboldt

Pleasant experience. I only waited about 5 minutes in the waiting room. Very clean office and great staff. My skin check appointment was fairly quick, although I felt like she didn't check my backside very thoroughly, as I was sitting in the chair the whole time. The PA was very personable and answered all my questions and concerns.

Office and waiting rooms were very neat and spacious. Everyone there was very nice and professional. Mandy did a great job checking me over and explaining all my little spots of concern.

These guys used to be so great. I would call and they would drop everything - because I have a pretty painful skin condition. Their nurses and doctors are still quite kind. But they are now overbooked like every office in Humboldt. They put me on a new medication and my body started attacking me. Diarreah (for 8 weeks and still on going), a yeast infection in my esophagus (misdiagnosed by a different doctor - I had to figure this out via a reddit post), I couldn't eat or drink without pain (try staying hydrated with those 2 things going on), a rash on my hand (which was misdiagnosed by the doctor there - I found the solution to this on the internet and my own intuition) and my period was effected (which they brushed off). I called them for 5 weeks trying to obtain help with these insane side effects I was having. I finally got someone to hear me and offer me an appointment and the doctor had a family emergency. The family emergency is understandable - and I had been calling them for 5 weeks prior with absolutely no support and my whole body was falling apart. I even told the doctor in my appointment that I'm sensitive to side effects and she still put me on a medication with a heavy onloading dose schedule. I'm super unhappy and feeling very unsupported. That medication could have worked for me - as it actually worked. But it took me down so hard and fast. And I felt so completely unsupported by CK Dermatology. So I don't trust them or the medication. Be wary. ***Update: I now have a permanent skin condition that is not treatable caused by Cosentyx. And when I called them for support since they gave me the medication that caused it - they took the time to call me back to tell me "I wasn't a good fit as a patient." After nearly killing me, not supporting me during that time and now I have a permanent non-treatable skin condition on top of the already existing one. My quality of life is forever changed.

I really thought that my CK Dermatology visit was great. The staff were kind and efficient. I did not have a long wait once I got to my appointment. The certified nurse practitioner I saw was wonderful. She explained what was going on with me and took the steps needed to take care of my issue. She gave me a choice of procedures that could work best for me. Very kind and considerate. Her nurse was also the same. The office is beautiful, comfortable, and very welcoming. Thank you all very much for making my experience a good one. I will go back when necessary and will recommend them to others as well. Thanks again.

I've had two visits with Mandi for some facial issues and am extremely satisfied. She is very thorough and detail oriented, treating even the minor spots. I found her and her assistant warm, friendly and very professional. Highly recommended!
