McConnell & Lin Plastic Surgery were referred to me by my breast doctor and breast doctor's M.A. in 2019, and in 2021, and from my general surgeon, for two separate surgeries; breast reduction with lift, removal of axillary breast tissue under the arm and upper right breast, and abdominoplasty with diastasis reci repair with liposuction. I wasn't all, "full steam ahead" about the breast surgery in 2019, because I had not given much thought in years about proceeding with surgical procedures that I had not thought about doing in decades, but health issues were now causing me a great deal of pain in my neck, back and core, affecting my posture and quality of life. Plus time, many years and expense at my chiropractor, physical therapy, neck and spine surgeon, shoulder surgeon, and pain management doctor appointments, led me to finally make a subsequent consultation with him in 2021, with the plan to potentially book a double surgery. While these means to get better, were very helpful tools, that I am very thankful and grateful for, along with my own tools that l've acquired along the way; I knew that my new "lifestyle" as a revolving patient, which was now becoming my identity, could not continue to be one, as living in chronic pain. After watching Dr. Lin's video, as to why he chose to become a plastic surgeon, along with his humble spirit and caring demeanor, which was one of kindness and compassion, and the referrals I received from my medical team. I made a consultation appointment with the plan of having him perform two surgeries. He is an excellent, meticulous, artistic, skilled surgeon with a very sensitive bedside manner, who didn't dismiss my concerns, patiently listened to me and answered all of my questions to the best of his ability, which made me feel confident about proceeding with the surgeries. I tend to want to know and understand more information about the procedures, than maybe most folks, which can annoy doctors who want their patients to simply trust their expertise, but coming from a medical family, and appreciating my father's skill, university teaching background and practice, along with years of personal experience with medical issues and multiple doctors and surgeons, has educated me to ask questions about my potential procedures and possible outcomes. Dr. Lin was candidly honest about what was possible and what reasonable and realistic outcomes to expect. Patient safety is his utmost priority. He was present for all of my appointments. His patient followup is remarkable. He is very conscientious about his work and takes pride in making sure that it is done safely, correctly and aesthetically pleasing. His background as a student, doctor and his practice, is most impressive. He also kindly assisted me with making sure I had a very skilled and caring anesthesiologist. John MacCarthy, M.D. has been the best anesthesiologist who's ever taken care of me in surgery requiring general anesthesia. I tend to be very medication sensitive and reactive and I have had some unpleasant reactions from previous surgeries due to the technique, skill, and perhaps, not listening close enough to my concerns about my anesthesia reactions. Dr. MacCarthy helped my recovery 100%, by helping me come out of surgery without feeling nauseous, doped out and having “amnesia”. I would highly recommend Dr. Lin for reduction mammaplasty and abdominoplasty. My neck, back and core are stronger and lighter. It’s made a huge difference in my body, both functionally and aesthetically.

I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Lin. He never once made me feel rushed or ridiculous for asking so many questions. His consultations are thorough and most importantly, HONEST. He is realistic and candid about what to expect and I could not appreciate or recommend him more. Not to mention, I’m thrilled with my results! I will definitely have Dr. Lin perform any future procedures.

Dr. Lin was absolutely wonderful from the first day of my consultation to the surgery date and post op. Dr. Lin, Victoria and his staff were so caring and patient with me. I had numerous questions and concerns regarding the surgery itself and my aftercare. Dr. Lin and his team kept in close contact with me immediately following my surgery and just made the entire process a positive experience. I am thrilled with my results and grateful for the exceptional care I received.
