Worst place ever! I have had issue with this practice many times. They keep losing doctors. I almost left the practice two years ago but was convinced to try again. I went back in late August and paid my Co-Pay. I got a letter saying that I didn't have insurance and was going to collections. I called and they had submitted the incorrect number. I gave them the correct one. Two weeks later, I got another letter about going to collections and called again. They said it was being resubmitted and not to worry until I got the next statement. I called to make an appointment as I saw a growth on my leg and they got me in. When I got there, they told me that I had to pay the huge balance. I have had insurance my entire life -- never a day has passed and I pay close to $3000 per month for it. I didn't have the card with me so they wouldn't see me an accused me of not having insurance and wouldn't see me and I heard the front desk staff talking to accounting telling a very different story than the facts that I had told them. They wouldn't let me talk to a supervisor and said she would call me at some point -- but couldn't tell me when. I have made an appointment somewhere else and I will NEVER set foot in that place again. The behavior is unacceptable and shocking to me. Please avoid this practice at all costs

I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with my recent experience at Torre Pines Dermatology. I had an appointment scheduled, and when I arrived, I was told it was for a different date—completely contrary to what I had on my records. It was a huge inconvenience, and the staff did nothing to resolve the issue. To make matters worse, they refused to let my husband accompany me to the appointment, even though we’ve been doing so for decades. Their policy suddenly changed without any prior notice, and they acted like it was my fault. The lack of communication is infuriating. To top it all off, I was informed that, going forward, I would only be seeing a Physician's Assistant (PA), and not a doctor. I wasn’t given a valid explanation for this change, and I felt completely dismissed. The staff was rude, inconsiderate, and did not care to find any solution to the problems they themselves created, particularly JANE at the front desk. It’s clear they have no regard for their patients’ needs or experiences. If you do not want to pay for any elective face treatments, but want to be seen by a dermatologist to prevent skin cancer, this is no longer the place to visit. This place used to be a reliable, patient-friendly practice, but it has become disorganized and disrespectful. I won’t be returning, and I would caution anyone considering this office to be aware of their lack of professionalism and customer service.

I am a new patient to the practice, and I went in for an appointment with Sakshi Patel PA-C to discuss Daxify treatment. It was a new treatment for me and she spent an extended time discussing this option versus botox, which I have had in the past. I felt so comfortable with her and she was meticulous on the placement of the injections. I really feel that the staff cared about my experience, from Jane at check-in to the MA Jennifer who helped prep me. The whole experience was so outstanding that i wanted to write a review ( which i usually don’t take the time to do). I am so happy with the treatment results and will definitely be back in the future.

I’ve been going to Torrey Pines for 7 years now. Dr Richard’s is very thorough and attentive to my sensitive skin and allergies. The NP is also great at Botox, I wouldn’t go anywhere else! I recently had my first facial in two years after being diagnosed with a long list of topical allergies. She made me feel comfortable and went through each product to ensure it was safe.

I had a great experience! Staff is warm and welcoming. They addressed all of my concerns with a smile and great attitude. This is a great place to go if you are anxious, as they are very understanding and kind.
