I echo what other reviewers have already stated here – this office is unethical and were kind initially, until I questioned my charges. I made a new patient appointment through ZocDoc and was made to believe that they were in-network. After reviewing my medical claims, I later learned that they charged my insurance $500+ for an office visit. When I had my insurance contact their office (as I did not recognize the doctor whose name they filed under my insurance claim), I was rudely told that they would be charging me $150+ to the card that they had on file on the spot. Beware of this office as others have already said. Completely unethical considering the challenging circumstances of my visit.

I had a terrible experience with Horizon Dermatology. I scheduled an appointment believing they were in-network based on ZocDoc, but the office informed me two hours before the appointment that they did not accept my insurance. When I declined to pay out-of-pocket, they charged me a $150 cancellation fee without clearly communicating this policy during booking. Their handling of the situation was unprofessional, and they even sent the charge to collections. I strongly caution others against booking here

Keep in mind, after inputting group and member id's, pictures of your insurance card, and filling out the medical paperwork, you will be told AT THE OFFICE you are out of network and the visit is $135. If you don't want to pay that, they will charge you $150 for a no show appointment. Even with you standing at the desk... beware of this office

Fraudsters. Charging $150 because my military insurance got deactivated due to Tricare’s fault and I couldn’t attend my appointment. This is why the medical industry gets a bad reputation because of people like Kylie and Amy Ly.

Fraud. I originally scheduled an exam and they were 45 min late to that appointment. I was seen by a PA instead of a doctor. I was sent to 5 different doctors for tests because they do not do any in house. I’m supposed to have an appointment to review results and they have no-showed to the last two appointments. No apologies, nothing. They have billed for it and I can’t get them to show up to their own appointments. Fraud.
