The front office was great! I was there 15min before my scheduled time of appointment. I didn’t get put in a room until 20min after that and sat in the room for over 30 minutes until the doctor came in. And then didn’t do anything, said she needed approval! So now I have to come back and pay $$ again!!!! Not happy at all!!!

I had a great experience at West Dermatology with the Mohs surgeon and his assistant. They were both professional, friendly, and made me feel at ease throughout the procedure. The team explained everything clearly, and the entire visit was smooth and comfortable. Highly recommend!

I will rate this office less the 1 if I could. The front desk girl that answers the phone Jaqueline should not be employed at a job that has to do with customer service. Her attitude and condescending approach to the issues of constant appointment cancellations for this office is uncalled for. Mind you they make you the appointments for 3 month from now and 3 out of 5 times they cancel on you. So they always say they called to cancel which is not true. Office full of angry customers that didn’t receive any cancellations notices is the living proof of that. I encourage management to hire the proper supporting staff. Doctors are lovely and they go above and beyond to over come the constant problems created by unprofessional front desk receptionists. Next I am reaching out to prospect group to place official complain

Dr shields was amazing my procedure was super fast and painless he always made sure I felt comfortable and asked multiple times if I was ok throughout my procedure I highly recommend Dr shields. Not a fan. I drove over an hour to get to this location because it had the earliest available appointment. I arrived 30 minutes early and waited 20 minutes past my appointment time to be roomed. I waited some more and when the RN came in, within 3 minutes she was backing up to the door ready to leave to the next patient. No interest in guidance, discussion etc and she seemed irritated that I disagreed with her possible diagnosis. Because we didn’t do a biopsy she wanted to schedule another visit even though I still wanted her to do a different procedure. She had little active listening skills, she interrupted a lot, and was gone in less than 5 minutes. So, I’ll be back in 3 months to pay another $60 copay to be talked over for a short 4-5 minutes before driving back another hour to get home? Nope. For context, I work in healthcare and my husband went to this location last year. He said that this NP was terrible. He was so unhappy with his visit with her and I assumed he may have been overreacting or it could have just been a bad day with the NP. Feeling like I’m in an assembly line as a patient is unfortunate and this type of practice is not what I’m interested in. We won’t be going back.
