Kaiser Permanente Sacramento Cosmetic Services

2 months ago I received a referral from my sons Kaiser Dr to this place. 2 months ago I made the appointment. I walk in just now and they ask me for $125 and tell me everything isn't covered. I took the day off work and my son out of school for this appointment and you couldn't have had the manners or common sense to let me know all of this WHEN I MADE THE APPOINTMENT 2 MONTHS AGO. Now I'm back to square one, apparently I need a different referral, I wish I would have known 2 months ago. Chose a place with considerate staff, not here.

As a current Kaiser employee, this was a disappointing experience for my first, and likely last, visit. Called and made an appointment for a few moles I wanted removed. The receptionist Melissa stated I would need a consultation with a dermatologist first - which I had already seen earlier in the day and that’s how I was referred to the cosmetic clinic. She said great, gave me a price quote estimate, and made me an appointment. When I arrived, the nurse I was seeing was very friendly and professional, but she was under the impression I was there for skin tag removal only. (I have zero skin tags and this was never even spoken about during my phone call.) obviously there was no appointments available with a doctor the same day as their schedules were booked and they have to be the ones to excise the moles. She offered to make me an appointment for another day but informed me that a consult with a doctor would be $125. I declined and left. On top of all this, I had to get a babysitter in order to go to this appointment that ended up being a waste of time. I won’t be returning and would just suggest that the staff be trained correctly and have appropriate knowledge of how to book appointments with the correct provider.

I’ve made an appointment three times with them. Two of those times they’ve called me within the hour of my appointment to cancel because of a family emergency. then proceed to tell me they have no other doctors for the day. I was already in my car on my way to the appointment both times then i was called to inform me it was canceled. I have another appointment set up but i do not plan to show up.

I've been to this office twice. The first time was 4 years ago for a consultation and recommendation for a really good sunscreen and removal of facial milia. Nina was wonderful on both issues. The second time was last month. Mandy was delightful while removing facial milia (be prepared that the procedure it is a bit painful, but that's not Mandy's fault). I also met with Siobhan for a consultation and was impressed with her knowledge and recommendations. In addition, I've received product with a broken pump and once the incorrect product. Both times, the office promptly exchanged the product with pre-paid shipping.

I visited the Kaiser Cosmetics on Auburn in Sacramento back in June 2021 and the female Estheticians bedside manner was not friendly yet not mean.. I also seen a male dr and he was the same. I guess they can't say much to the patients but it would be nice to get SOME positive or more help making decisions... I called today 05/03/22 and spoke to a very rude woman named Karry/Kerry/Carrie (?). She explained to me that she could not renew prescription from the county that I moved from even though I got it filled in Sac county in 2021. I already had gotten the prescription filled in Sac county so it was bizarre that all of a sudden I couldn't. When I tried to explain this Carrie/Kerry (?) spoke to me so nasty telling me "if you'd let me finish....Then she was went on about what she couldn't do. Though her voice wasn't raised I could tell from the beginning of our conversation that she was having a bad day and she took it out on me.. VERY CONDESCENDING!!Then as we continued to talk she said "my bad!" She sounds unhappy with her job and needs to take a DEEP breath next time she picks up the phone because she was super nasty
