Alchemy Marin

An overall wonderful experience. It started with a Facetime consultation with nurse Nancy. She was very warm and friendly and pleasant to talk to. Alchemy is located in a beautiful converted Victorian building. The ambience is very clean and bright, with beautiful decor. I was promptly greeted by the warm and friendly staff. My treatment (botox injections) today was given by Elizabeth. She was an absolute delight! Very cheery and friendly. After discussing my desired expectations, she gave me her professional feedback and I was very impressed with her detailed knowledge. She applied an ice cold patch against my skin before injecting, and I was pleasantly surprised at how painless it was! They now have another permanent client, and I look forward to my next visit!

I had services with Araceli on the recommendation of my mom (she loves her and the services there). I did the dermaplane and hydrafacial treatment, first time having this type of treatment done. I was blown away. Araceli is professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. She walked me through every step of what she was doing and I have never left a treatment with my skin feeling that amazing. A month later and my skin still feels amazing. I followed her recommendations and game changer. Can't wait to get back in there for another treatment with her. I love the location, super cute and love the shop and products.

I normally am not one to write reviews but months later I am still a bit shocked and confused by my experience with Alchemy. I emailed to inquire about pricing for services and it was recommended to book a consultation, which I was told would provide a customized plan of recommendations and reduced pricing on services. I booked the consultation for $100 and was seen by a lovely woman for about 15 minutes who was informative but she mentioned a whole list of options to choose from. She assured me it would all be in the follow up email so I could review the notes and different options. When I asked her about the “reduced package pricing” she gave me a weird look and said she didn’t know what I was talking about. After a few days of not hearing anything, I emailed them asking about my consultation plan, and the reply was “Oh so sorry, here is the price for X treatment” …. I was a bit confused, as I essentially just paid $100 to still have ask multiple times just to even find out how much anything cost. It felt like a scam! I then inquired, “well what about y, z that she also mentioned?” I had to ask via email multiple times to learn about the pricing for things, and there was no notes involved or a custom plan relating to me specifically (my friend who works for a med spa said it is common practice to offer complimentary consultations including a face scan after which they provide a photo of your face, with notes about individual features and how different treatments would address each….) Additionally, when they told me the botox pricing, they then recommended I schedule ANOTHER consultation, stating that if I did get botox during a consult, the $100 would be taken off the botox price. I was a bit frustrated because botox was recommended during the first consult, and I would have taken them up on that offer if it was offered originally when I was already there, but that was never mentioned! When I asked about that, I never got a reply. Not that this is in their control, but to add insult to injury… even the nice ring I bought there after the consult that was gold plated chipped off to a dull silver within a week of wear despite not getting it wet. I can’t speak on the actual quality of services because I gave up after they never responded to my most recent email, and at this point I am looking for new options after what feels like wasting a lot of time and money without getting anywhere. I hope this was just a fluke because it is a beautiful place

I wanted to thank the thoughtful & amazing team at Alchemy Marin - I had a fantastic visit with my girl Karen Cohen before my first trip back east since the pandemic, & I felt so pretty! I spent summers in my teens and early twenties in the sun with no sunscreen, and it was really, really starting to show! I had read of the wonders of IPL/BBL treatments on blogs and in magazines and after years of looking in the mirror and hating my skin I decided to do something about it. I'm in my late twenties now and I have never had anything drastic or even minor done to my skin so naturally I was incredibly nervous. It turns out I had no reason to be! Karen did such an amazing job and the difference in my skin is like night and day!! She was nice and really helped calm my nerves during the process. After only two weeks my skin looks so, so, SO GOOD! It seriously is magic. I finally feel like I can go out without any makeup on and feel good about myself (but with sunscreen on now, of course!) If you are looking to get something like this done, Karen is the one for you. She is the absolute best!!!
