Catherine Cox, MD - Oculoplastic Surgery

Dr Cox is a local treasure. I have a very complicated medical issue with ptosis impairing my vision as well as chronic allergic conjunctivitis and sleep apnea which all affect my eyelid muscles. I met with her three times before my surgery and each time I felt more confident in her approach and more at ease with her thoughtful and compassionate bedside manner. She had a calming presence during the surgery which is performed under local anesthesia while awake. I’m still quite swollen and bruised four days post-op but am so excited to see the improvements in the months ahead. She is a gifted surgeon and a very very kind human being. I’m so glad I found Dr Cox after visiting two other Bay Area ocular-plastic surgeons.

What a great experience! Not only are Dr. Cox and her staff extremely friendly and welcoming - I also got a superior treatment. The office is nice and calming, and Dr Cox was wonderful to work with. She explained everything in detail which made me feel at ease and relaxed. The procedure itself was also much easier than I had imagined. I was very surprised to find that I hardly experienced any discomfort at all, and on top of it I also had a very fast recovery. My results are fantastic and I am definitely going back in the future. I felt so well taken care of and can totally recommend Dr Cox.

Dr. Cox is exceptionally skilled in the performance and knowledge of her profession. I am amazed each time I go for a treatment at how well I feel ; there is very little pain during the eyelid injection and almost no bruising afterward. Her touch is gentle and effective. I am so grateful to have her as my doctor., and I highly recommend her.
