Advanced Dermatology Skin Cancer and Laser Surgery Center

Although I have never visited the facility, I attempted to schedule an appointment by phone. I inquired about their acceptance of Medicaid, and was informed that they do not accept individuals with Medicaid coverage. This is fine, but the receptionist followed up by stating that they do not schedule individuals who have Medicaid. Given my ability to pay any applicable fees, I believe I was reasonably offended by this response. Please do better.

By far the most efficient medical office. Appointments are ALWAYS on time. My trusted go to for years!!!

I want to say that this review is 100% related to the scheduling process. In August I made an appointment which was scheduled for the first week in October. At the very last minute (a few days before the appt) they cancelled my appt. I then scheduled one for the 23rd of December. Just a coupe of days ago they called me to say that once again they were cancelling the appointment. I declined to schedule another appointment for fear of being let down again.

Awful billing practices. I am being double billed for procedures over a year ago. No communication. They had my address wrong and sent it to collections. Awful billing and follow up. I would use other services in the county.

I went to Dr. Amsbaugh earlier this year because he was an in-network provider with my insurance and I was still billed $370 out of pocket for a basic skin check and to have 3 benign moles removed. I was still concerned about a spot on my forehead so I went to another dermatologist to have it checked months later. It turns out I have a basal cell carcinoma that Dr. Amsbaugh missed and I’ll need to get Mohs surgery. I’m pretty shocked to have spent so much money out of pocket only for a dermatologist to miss a basal cell carcinoma in plain sight on my forehead. It seems like a gross oversight to me.
