Kelly is amazing. Very friendly office and staff. Super thorough skin check. I walked away with a solid plan about my skin care routine and am excited for better results. Thankful to have a doctor I can trust in town.

Kelly has such a warm and nurturing persona. I feel completely at ease when I’m receiving treatments from her! I always look forward to a possible next treatment, if it is necessary, just knowing that I will be in the best possible caring hands that exist.

After four years of being a loyal patient and spending thousands and thousands of dollars with Kelly, I was informed today that I owe $100 for not showing up to my appointment without calling first. This office makes their clients sign and dozens of release forms, which are impossible to read, unless you want to sit there for an hour going through every single detail, so unbeknownst to me I apparently signed off that I would be charged if I missed an appointment. After the many years of being a loyal patient and spending so much money with Kelly I was hopeful that maybe she would’ve waived this fee. No such luck. I’m very sad and disappointed. But I do have to admit upon my first visit to the office with all of these liability forms , I had a bad feeling. I will not ever return for care here again. I do not recommend Renew Dermatology. The care was average at best and always expensive. Seemed the main concern is payment over care.

Most unprofessional Medical personnel I have ever encountered. I went here for Botox and Juvederm filler. The Botox never took effect and the filler was lumpy and uneven. About 5 months after receiving the filler I started developing an allergic reaction. My lips and cheeks were swelling and the lumps were much more pronounced/swollen and extremely itchy. I called to talk to Kelly Ballou who did my injections about my symptoms and she was immediately defensive and unempathetic, stating nothing she did could have caused that. That it’s impossible and that her Allergan rep said that it literally has never happened. That you can’t be allergic to it because your body produces hyaluronic acid anyway. I was extremely nice, I said I wasn’t upset with her and that I know these things happen. I just needed help. She rudely said so what do you want to do, do you want to make an appointment. At that point I definitely did not. Why would I want to see someone who doesn’t believe me, says it’s impossible and that her rep says it’s never happened. How will she even treat me? So I called my previous injector (in Nashville, who always used Restylane) who said that it states in the pamphlets that a late onset allergic reaction can occur and she said that it can happen from 3 to 12 months afterwards and it is more common with Juvederm. She recommended that I find someone else qualified to treat me. I found a local actual Doctor of Dermatology who also said the same things and how sorry she was to hear that the PA at Renew Dermatology that injected me was unwilling to help. I’ve had two rounds of steroids, tons of antihistamines and ultimately had to have it dissolved. I called back to speak to Kelly again and she said that the people I was talking to “are crazy” and that they don’t know what they are talking about. I also spoke to her receptionist and asked for a partial refund for the remaining vial that I had pre-purchased and had not been used on me since the Doctor said that I am definitely allergic, plus it was poorly placed when injected and not to use Juvederm again. I was also told to let Kelly know so she could report the reaction to her rep. Kelly never called me back, never tried to assist or offer a refund or help me an anyway. At this point with her saying it was impossible and all the other Doctors and injectors were crazy and that her rep said it was impossible, I have lost all trust in her and would not have allowed her to dissolve this or inject anything else into my face. She is extremely unprofessional and only cares about her bottom line, not the patient. I have been suffering through this nightmare, losing sleep for nearly 2 months and spending so much extra money and time to go to an actual licensed physician who immediately knew what was going on and walked me through the steps to get through this as well as called to check on me several times during the process. I would never recommend Renew Dermatology to anyone for any reason.
