Advanced Medical and Cosmetic Dermatology: Samuel Gettler, MD

I have been a patient with Dr. Gettler for over a year. He listens and is an excellent physician. I had questions about thinning hair and hair products. He reviewed everything and now my hair is back to what it was. I suggest him to all my friends and family. He keeps up to date in his practice of Dermatology. Very knowledgeable about standards of clear.

Dr.Gettler is personable, professional, informative, and always caring. I've been his patient for years. He's attentive to my concerns and questions, and always positive and supportive.

I have been seeing Dr. Gettler sporadically for years. I'm a self-pay patient I was told on the phone that it would be $150 for an office visit I walked into the office & before even being seen the front desk requested that I pay $100 for the visit. when I got in the room Dr. Gettler said that based on what would be done it could possibly be more than that (which I figured) but why would they ask to collect money before the visit without knowing would what be done? my employer was kind enough to tell me that they would pay for my office visit so I requested an itemized receipt so they can mail a check but he refused to see me without Payment upfront (without even knowing what was going to be done at the visit). I was very taken back he was very abrupt almost felt like I was being rushed out I have recommended many people here so im very disappointed. The front desk was friendly however very unprofessional. when I walked in she was on her phone and sitting with her feet on the chair. I work in an office setting as well and would never put my patients through an experience like I had been through today- but based on previous reviews this might just be the way that he treats his patients that are minorities.

Dr. Gettler is not only incredibly knowledgeable and skilled in his field, but he also takes the time to listen to our concerns and explain treatment options in a clear and reassuring manner.
