RI International - Ellendale Recovery Response Center

So I was only here for about 24 hours . I was brought here from the police station. I felt safe and secure . The staff actually showed me some sympathy and were very courteous that I was there. The only problem though is that I wasn’t fed at all. They should work on how many patients they have & how long they are staying there. Overall though it was a nice place . I wasn’t treated like a prisoner so I appreciate that. But I was told I would be fed or given some snacks but never received it besides an orange and veggie sticks that I had to find on my own.

I wish there was an option for 0 Stars. This facility is horrendous. If you care about your loved one (or yourself/whoever is being treated) do not take them here. All of the reviews are spot on. My mother was brought there, she was transferred from the hospital once a bed was available for her. She was supposed to be in a 24hr mandated hold so she could get evaluated. She was released within a few hours not the full 24hrs. She was told that there’s no major issues, that she’s able to advocate for herself and given medicine to be released. We had to immediately drive her to another facility upon release as this place did absolutely nothing to help her. You should be ashamed of yourselves. You do not care about the health and wellbeing of your patients at all.

Not giving any starts, this place is disguising, but had to give atleast 1 for it allow me to post. Family member brought in there by the police, and after 5 minutes of being there we were called stating he had no mental or substance abuse issue and was fine and needed to be picked up. When we refuse to come get him attempting to explain, they hung up on us and took him at 4:30 on a Friday to a place that allows homeless to come and get out of the heat and get something to eat during the day. Rude and clearly ill-equipped to handle and treat the very individuals they say they are there to help. Stay very far away from this place.

One star is too many for this place. A family member became irrational and irate in my home infront of my children, refused to leave so I called 911. He ended up being forcibly removed from the home by the police after lashing out at the paramedics. They called this recovery response place in Ellendale because they found scripts for narcan, morphine, and Percocet on him, and strongly advised getting a pfa because of his state of mind. MAYBE an hour later, a lady who would not give her name called me from RI stating the person brought in had no mental or substance abuse issues, she didn’t know why the police even brought them there, and that I needed to come pick them up right then. Knowing there is NO POSSIBLE WAY they were able to properly evaluate him in the time, I tried explaining what had JUST happened, she cut me off saying “Wow ok” and HUNG UP ON ME. They ended up dropping the person off in another town at 4:30pm at an outreach center that closed at 5pm. Never in my life! Ppl like that are more mentally disturbed than the ones they “claim” to help! Absolutely disgusted!

Caring staff and comfortable environment to recover in. They truly care about the people who walk into their doors.
