Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery

I waited well over an hour to be seen for my appointment - sure no problem. But then, right before Florida gets struck by 2 massive hurricanes, leaving my family to evacuate, I receive a bill with a big bold notice of 30 days to pay. Typically my insurance covers this, so I made calls that went unreturned twice to the office to sort the problem. When the due date approached & I still had not been able to contact them, I paid. I received an EOB from my insurance that stated they paid nothing. When I called the office, they told me to contact my insurance. The office not only INCORRECTLY put the name of the office on the claim (leavitt dermatology) so that my referral was invalid they also FAILED to get authorization/notify me of the lack of authorization prior to my visit. I have had to go through many hoops to get this corrected, basically the office is even saying that this is their fault & yet they are doing nothing to resolve it. Thankfully my insurance & primary care are working to get my claim reprocessed, even though it was not their fault, so I can get a refund. I will NOT be returning for ANY visits as I’ve never had such a terrible issue compounded with a lack of accountability/care.

I was happy to finally meet a Doctor who was able to find the right treatment for my psoriasis condition. I met Dr. Omar Daabies at Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery Center in Brandon, Florida. Dr. Daabies is very knowledgeable in skin conditions and was able to find the cure for my psoriasis condition. I am currently being treated and delighted to see this being cured. If I could give this place 100 stars I would, first time in and the service was top tier, from Ariel at reception super nice and very considerate, to Dr. Abercrombie and her assistant super professional and extremely nice.

I booked a first time appointment for my son which took awhile because you have to give details to an automated system to start a chart and then when it gets to the insurance it will transfer you to a human. It’s very frustrating! So today was his appointment and I took him out of school for this. They didn’t check us in until fifteen minutes past his appointment time then she tells me they don’t take his insurance. I told her I told the lady who answered the phone several times the name of my insurance and she said oh yes I finally found it. I asked how can someone make a mistake like that the name is simple and who guys wasted our time and his time from school. The girl at front desk says well we don’t answer the phones it’s a third party service. I said that’s your problem! They need to hire people in office who don’t make such stupid mistakes that should never happen. Would not recommend this place very incompetent!

I really don’t understand so many negative reviews. Since we walked in the staff was amazing. Doctor Omar was great, he listened and took his time. Had a great experience!
