Mela Beauty Studio Lake Nona

It has taken me awhile to write a review and I can’t believe it! I LOVE Melabeauty Lake Nona! I have been coming to this location since it’s opening and my first experience was with Geo for my eyebrows and the owner at the front desk. Geo is one of the best humans/ brow artist. Geos talent alone is wonderful but the way she makes you feel is the cherry on top. My entire family sees her for their waxing ..my husband and daughter adore her! The owner Oriana is extremely professional and also a sweet and kind person which in the latin beauty community can be rare (a lot of times they are stuck up ). Oriana is always working along her ladies , offering coffee and water , smiling and welcoming everyone in the establishment. She chooses experts in their craft to work for her that will make sure all the clients leave happy. My nail girl Oddalis. Odda offers you a luxurious experience with your nails. She is a perfectionist and will ensure she gives you a quality nail service. She highly recommend the rubber nails to me as a mom who needs something to help her nails grow and last! My nails have never looked better or grown as much in my life! It is a splurge for me but I definitely see the value. Odda is also another sweetheart and I enjoy my time with her. I have gotten my haircut and blowout here as well and honestly loved it! Simple but exactly what I wanted . Mela beauty is a one stop shop. They do it all and they do it well. The girls are wonderful and the owner a class act. I highly recommend their services!

Neyla is the best! I got there with three different colors on my hair and was feeling super insecure of it. Neyla spoke to me and guided me throughout the whole process and explained certain things on how to take better care of my hair and how it would realistically turn out with my situation, she even stayed past closing time doing my hair to make sure it was perfect and I absolutely adored it, I couldn’t be more thankful of her and her sacred hands for bringing back my confidence, she’s THE BEST, don’t ever doubt to book with her!

I got a gel manicure, and it didn’t even last four days before it started lifting, as shown in the picture. I also got a regular pedicure, and the quality of the polish was not very good, plus for some reason, my big toe got infected. To add to this, I had to wait for an hour when I arrived, despite having an appointment. Overall, my experience was not good.

Today I had an appt in lake Nona location for full set of hybrid lashes and brow waxing and tinting. The lashes received are not hybrid at all I heard the technician cutting the lashes which should have been my first red flag. The second is the amount of glue that was used no way I’m going to be able to fix this is 2 weeks without having to pay additional to remove them. I complained and was told hybrid lashes are different depending on the technician. I’ve never heard of that. I google hybrid lashes and attached several that are what I was expecting and also what I left with. Not happy paying but I did. Next was my eyebrows I specifically showed a photo just to not have a bad experience and asked do you map out the eyebrows for shaping them. She said yes and proceeded to freehand the shape of my eyebrows with arches nowhere close to it would be should it been mapped with my facial outline and she drew outside of the main hairline including my eyebrows that needed to be removed resulting in a very thick outline of brows. I was not only disappointed yet again but pissed at this point for wasting my day off and 3 hours for unsatisfactory work. I walked out without letting them butcher my eyebrows and giving me the worlds thickest eyebrows in dark brown tint. I fully thought I was going to enjoy the experience given the location and appearance of the store but no. I don’t expect anyone to understand or respond to my complaint but it’s not appropriate to not disclose the technician experience or have them consult with the patient the desired look or show them a preview before wasting both people time. Again I wish this was not the case but I only wish the solution was to remove the lashes give me a senior eye lash person and get what I actually paid for.

If I can give zero stars I would ! I love how Massiel leaves my brows that I even recommend to my friends about this place but after today I’m done and I’ll make sure to let my friends know not to go. It’s so unprofessional to cancel my appointment last minute and mind you this is not the first time. I’m very open to rescheduling and understand things happen but the fact that they done this more than once is so frustrating. Never going here again.
