A good dermatology practice, Great staff, I highly recommend

Staff and NP were very nice but my appointment was at 7:30. I was there at 7:26 but the staff was not!!! After they arrived I still had to wait until 8:15 to be seen. Was not happy about the delay at all. If personnel can’t be on time don’t make early appointments. You expect your patients to be on time too.

I went here for a biopsy of a spot on my hand. They removed it and took the sample. When I returned 2 weeks later the spot was almost completely healed and did not grow back. She told me the biopsy came back negative for cancer. But to watch the spot and if it grew back, that it was most likely cancer. 2 weeks later the spot came back. I went back into the doctors, with my concern, and they told me that it wasn’t cancer per the biopsy and that nothing could be done to remove the spot. I asked them why they would have a doctor who would tell me one thing to scare me and then when I come back, basically brush me off. And then tell me there was no treatment or way to remove the spot. The diagnosis was for a seborrheic keratosis. And I spoke with another dermatologist, they told me they could remove the spot in one visit You can choose to remove one or more of them if they get irritated due to clothing, feel itchy, are worried about cancer, or don’t like how they look. They can be removed with Liquid nitrogen. This is called cryotherapy. It freezes the growth, causing it to fall off within days. Another option is Minor surgery. This can be done in 2 ways, With a scalpel and a numbing medicine to prevent pain or With electricity to burn the growth away and a numbing medicine to prevent pain. I am not happy on how I was treated. The young lady in the office also got very rude with me while I was trying to express my concern, it’s only CANCER we are talking about here. Will never return, will never recommend, this is my experience, I wish yours to be better.

Made an appointment for a full body examination, sat in exam room for 35 min and was never ask for the reason of my visit. Nurse did take all my info but when the Nurse Practitioner started my “exam” she asked where my concerns were, I showed her a few spots and she did address them and then she said have a good day. I made the same appointment for my spouse and he was given a thorough exam head to toe. I was not even asked to take my shoes off. Communication and organization is very lacking in the office as well as my exam room had a needle cap on the floor ( I was 1st patient of the day)stacks of paperwork all over the desk and even in chairs. They are nice and offered for me to go back in a month but I will not be returning to the Plant City location.
