Not off to a good start…First time patient, I was asked a few times to come in 20 minutes early for paperwork, which I did. The documents took about 4 minutes to complete on an iPad. I’ve been here since 11:13 for an 11:35 appointment and it’s now 12:25 and I’m still waiting. Close to TEN other people came in after me and have already been seen. Why make appointments?! Why not give a several hour window and ask patients to come in and plan on hanging around until whenever they decide to get to you instead? This would be a more honest approach. My time is as valuable to me as yours is to you, and modern medicine really needs to respect patients’ time reciprocally. So I asked what happened and I was met with a response of “she’s not even supposed to be here but now she’s tied up with a biopsy,” as if I’m a problem for you! YOU scheduled ME! I just wound up leaving at this point. What a disrespectful waste of time.
I had an appointment this morning at 9:45, I arrived at 9:40 and reported to the front desk. Sally was the receptionist. I informed her I was there for my appointment to which she replied: "you are late sir, you should have been here 20 minutes earlier to do paperwork, I dont think we will be able to see you today, let me check." Shocked, "I said, actually, I'm early and I did the paperwork online to save the time as noted on text sent to." She then proceeded to tell me that did not matter. I told her if they wanted me there earlier than the appointment time, then the appointment should have been set for earlier. I am a referral from the VA, and from that point forward it was clear she didn't like my response and was doing everything in her power to reschedule me 4 weeks out "so the VA would have time to send the proper referral to her." The thing is, I called the VA, the referral was approved and sent to them on the 11th of Feb. Today is the 25th. Of course at this point an hour had passed so I needed to be rescheduled anyways. I asked to speak with Amanda, the office manager, got her card, called but she was unavailable. Maybe this is not all Sally's fault but her attitude certainly did not help. They dont seem to care very much for the patients. There are better options in town, I'd stay away from this place. As I see other reviews on this place, I am not the only one mistreated here. It seems there is a systemic problem here.
New patient: I drove from North Port due to good referral. Arrived at 8:08 for an 8:15 appointment (check in and paperwork completed prior to arrival) and was turned away… will find a practice more comprehensive.
Obviously this is a very busy location. I truly felt like I wasn't being heard with my concerns. The staff was all very friendly but I felt rushed and my concerns and issues I had were dismissed. I won't return.
They messaged me that it was time for my annual checkup. So, I called and asked if I could see one of their doctors instead of just a Nurse Practitioner. This was due to the fact I 'am having more skin issues and didn't feel the ARNP I saw the last time did not help much. After the office person did some checking and after several minutes I was surprised to be told. We don't have any Doctors that can see you! Seems a bit strange that a medical center does not have any Doctors on staff?? Answer to your response: It was your office staff that informed me that there were no Doctors in your practice that could see me. So, what would be the point of "following up" to discuss my concerns? Very unprofessional.
