Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery - Port Orange

I have been going to this dermatology center for a few years now. My appointment was scheduled for 6 months with Isabelle. I flew in from another country in part for this appointment. I even spoke with the office a few weeks ago about another matter. Today I checked in for my appointment online, checked in at the desk. Sat and waited for about 10 minutes and then was called up to say her new supervisor doesn’t take Oscar insurance anymore! I asked why I wasn’t notified in advance since I had this appointment for 6 months. We are short staffed and usually don’t look at appointments until the day before. Ridiculous. When this “supervisor” change occurred why wouldn’t they looked at all her patients with Oscar and called them immediately to advise so we could make alternate appointments? Incompetent. It’s unfortunate because the doctor was good. Update- Talked to the office manager Nicole, who basically told me they knew a month in advance about the insurance change, but still wait until the day before to call the patient to tell them they no longer take their insurance. This makes it even more unacceptable. And they didn’t have the staff yesterday to call and tell me they no longer take my insurance.

Extremely poor scheduling department. I have been coming here for many years and they always over book every doctor or assistant . Be prepared to get aggravated and wait over an hour to get into your scheduled appointment time. This is ridiculous. Even the office staff says please call corporate and let them know please. Office says quote We are aware of the overbooking and it’s not their fault. My doctor here has always been good .But the wait is consistently awful.

The staff and medical professionals were very kind, empathetic and detailed in explaining what issues I was dealing with. Abbey McMurray was awesome. This level of compassion and service isn’t easy to find in our current medical industry. These folks are great!

My wife and I relocated to Port Orange a year ago Finding the best possible medical care and having confidence in that team was our highest priority. We found Dr. Charlie Dunn is exactly the type of caring and knowledgeable person we had sought. We could not be more pleased with his professionalism and thoroughness. Also, his patience with me was extraordinary! Great Dermatology!

I had an appointment for mohs surgery on my face yesterday. It was the first time I met Dr, Charles Dunn as he was my surgeon. He and his assistant were excellent. I was comfortable with the procedure as he and his assistant explained in detail what I would experience and asked if I had questions. I would highly recommend his services to anyone with a similar skin cancer removal. Thank You Dr, Dunn.
