I would give a 0 star review if possible. The worst doctors office in fayette County. The front desk is rude and patients are not cared for at this establishment. Please do your due diligence and avoid this practice. My wife has cigna insurance and they never filed her insurance, so the bill eventually went to collections to hurt her credit. This is after multiple phone calls to this office to try and get them to file it through her health insurance. All they care about is the money and could care less about the patients. Avoid at all costs. Now we are left with fixing my wife's credit due to the incompetent employees at this practice.
Best practice I’ve been to in PTC since the closing of “The Doctor’s Office”(this is not Dr. Bennett’s practice). Dr Bennett is sincere in his practice and as I have observed is very comfortable treating most anything I have approached him with. I most always have prompt service from his attentive staff and have enjoyed them all. I know Dr. Bennett to observe and treat all of his patients with the time and essence of each individual’s needs. He Listens. -Shane Buffkin
When my insurance changed from BCBS to AetnaCVS, I had to find a new primary care DR. I checked the reviews and Dr Bennett seemed caring & his practice seemed efficient because they arranged for my blood work to be done the week before to have the results during my physical. I thought that was a good practice because you could choose your own fasting schedule & have a physical appointment in an afternoon. I was looking forward to what my new relationship with this younger doctor would be. My warning: Because they did the blood work the week before, they put tests in for insurance claim on the physical. So that when I come back for my actual in person annual physical which I thought was an opportunity for my new DR to get to know my medical history & my current situation to make sure I stayed healthy for another year, they bill the insurance and you as if it was a sick visit. If I had been sick, and needed a new script or treatment, sure. This was an annual physical, not a sick visit. It's a grift. I've disputed it. I've shown the dates. I've shown the outcome of the visit. Speaking directly with their billing department as well as with Aetna, nothing can be done. I have to pay the copay, otherwise it will go to collections and then it will affect my credit score. But I can change care providers, make sure any future doctor doesn't plan on doing the same con job on me, and I can make other people aware to avoid this doctor and his unethical practices. Oh yeah and by the way it is like pulling your wisdom teeth to get him to get a prescription filed with your pharmacy in a timely manner, literally every time I need to get a refill, on a 30-day basis because he refuses to authorize 90 days on my maintenance prescriptions, I have to call the office, text the number they provide, multiple times and eventually get the office and the pharmacy on the phone at the same time to make sure the prescription goes through. I have just started seeing this doctor in September and have had to do this three times just to get my 30 day prescription. It's December.
Ever been through TSA at the ATL airport and thought "damn- these people must really hate their jobs"?? Well, that's basically the experience I had here. Par for par, these people were just as rude and ornery as ATL TSA workers, part of me wonders if they recruited the staff from the airport. . Dr. Ray Bennett himself is not so bad. But his staff is absolutely horrible. They all have bad attitudes and are unnecessarily rude. The definition of unhelpful. If you have insurance that needs to be billed out of state- good luck with that. They will just keep billing you the same amount and say your insurance doesn't cover it- all the while you can look at your insurance website to see that there was never a claim made in the first place. . . they are incompetent to say the very least. Ray needs to start fresh with a new staff and then he might have better success.
I love, love, love Dr. Bennett! I came in with all of my numbers all over the place after turning 49, and this office didn’t beat me up. They skilled me up on how and what to eat and the vitamins that I should take! Guys you can pick them up there if you have a busy schedule like mine! Thank you Doc! Shawn
