For anyone in search of a plastic surgeon in Honolulu, I would highly recommend Dr. Murariu at Athena Clinic! He takes the time to discuss and explain the procedures without making you feel rushed as well as having a really wonderful bedside manner for a doctor. I recovered so quickly and I know it’s because I was taken care of during my procedure and after! The nurses and staff at this office are also so kind, helpful, and overall just nice people to talk with and I felt so comfortable in all of my appointments. If you’re looking for an office or doctor with the ability to pay attention to the details, look no further!

I just really appreciate the way that Dr. Peterson and his staff treated me and took care of me. I knew I was going to choose Dr. Peterson for my surgery when he mentioned keloids (unprompted!) during my consultation. Usually, doctors who aren't BIPOC don't consider how different surgeries will affect skin that has more melanin. He earned my confidence because he shared what the worse case scenarios would be and he already had a plan of action if those scenarios did happen. During pre- and post-op, the staff was quick to respond to my emails and calls, they accommodated my needs, they calmed my nerves when I had concerns, and they made me laugh during every visit (thank you Ikuko, Jenn, and Amanda!). Both of my surgeries went really well, and I'm happy with the results. I had such a positive experience with Athena Clinic, and I would recommend them to any and everyone.

I recently went in for a skin consultation with Dr. Peterson and had such an amazing experience. The nurse, Chelsey was so informative and knowledgeable. I felt completely comfortable to ask any and every question I had about my skin and she had all the answers. Dr. Peterson really took his time with me to explain all the different types of procedures and products that could help with my sun damage. It was important for me to hear all of my options because living in Hawaii I'm always in the sun and preserving my skin as I age is something that is becoming more and more important to me. I was given multiple options of laser treatments and creams that would be best for me! I'll definitely be going to Dr. Peterson for all of my future treatments and I can't wait so see the results!
