Dr. Kim and his staff are top notch! This was my first surgery and they answered any questions thoroughly and made sure I understood. In the day of the surgery I was a bit nervous, but they kept me calm and I felt confident they would do a great job. I am very pleased with the results and their post surgery follow up has been great. They are quick to reply to any questions I've had and everyone has been super friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend Dr. Kim to my friends and family if they were ever thinking of any plastic surgery.

Dr. John Kim at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago, IL, is truly an amazing surgeon and I now have the breasts I have always wanted! My original breast augmentation and implants were done by a different surgeon over 13 years ago and I was never happy with the results from that surgery. The implants never fell into place properly, so they laid so high on my chest and over the years with gravity taking hold, it became even worse, and my breast tissue began to sag below the implants so it was not a pretty sight. This is what Dr. Kim told me is called the snoopy nose or waterfall deformity. I knew I was long-overdue in having the implants replaced and I don't know why I waited so long, having been so unhappy and self-conscious with my original implants all those years. Finally, I decided enough was enough and I was ready to go see several surgeons for breast consultations to correct the implants. I went to see Dr. Kim for a consultation, and he was the only surgeon (among a few others I had visited for consultations) that sent me for an MRI to see if my implants were ruptured. I am so glad he did this because indeed my implants were ruptured. I was so impressed with Dr. Kim after my consultation that I went ahead and scheduled my surgery. Shortly after that, I ended up getting the results from the MRI, letting me know my implants were ruptured. I was in a panic, as I had no idea my implants had ruptured, and my mind started to race. How long had they been ruptured? What was this leaking silicone going to do to my body? At that point, I was scheduled for surgery 6 months out and I did not want to wait that long. Dr. Kim had one opening available sooner, which was 3 months out, so I booked that surgery date. I still felt this was longer than I wanted to wait, so I asked to be put on a waitlist in case there were cancellations. In the end, I was able to get in for surgery even a few weeks sooner due to cancellation, so I was very thankful. The surgery itself went very well. Dr. Kim said it was a more complex surgery, he had to clean the breast tissue well where the implants had ruptured, and he then completed the breast implant exchange and breast lift. The surgery lasted a little over 3 hours. During my recovery, the second day following surgery was the toughest and most painful for me. However, each day got better and easier. In two weeks, I was back at work but still being mindful and conscious about not lifting too much or being very physical. Dr. Kim and his staff informed me well of what I could and couldn’t do and provided instruction & paperwork, which was very helpful. I ended up reaching out with questions a few times as well, and his staff was so responsive and nice about everything. I just had my 3-month post-op last week and I am so happy with my results and Dr. Kim was so happy as well when he saw how well I was healing and how great my breasts looked. The results are just amazing! The before and after transformation is unbelievable and I am truly happy for the first time in my life with my breasts! He is a true artist and a phenomenal physician. Dr. Kim's staff is also so amazing. They are professional, super kind and they were very responsive to all my questions (and I bothered them a lot), because I was so nervous about the ruptured implants and the surgery. Leanne, Emma and America were all so wonderful in answering all my questions throughout this whole procedure and I cannot thank them enough. I would highly recommend Dr. Kim if you’re considering cosmetic surgery.
