Pinnacle Dermatology - Bucktown

First time here, I was genuinely treated with a short attitude and immediately felt very unwelcome. Not quite a great look for the company. I also never take the time to write a review unless it’s something positive but this is one was too hard to ignore. It wasn’t busy, the lady just had a horrible attitude and tone that almost had me walking out the door. While I was filling out new patient paperwork, another employee called in the waiting area for a client to come back. The client didn’t hear her or think it was her being called sorely because they pronounced her name wrong. The employee then stated or muddled under her breath “why didn’t you correct me if I was wrong then” and I don’t exaggerate when I say the attitudes really are unpleasant here and extremely unprofessional. If I haven’t already accepted and signed the copay I would’ve walked out and left because I could’ve went to any other dermatologist for help. However Kayla, the employee that called me in was very kind and heard my concerns because I couldn’t help but tell her my experience walking in. She was very nice and might be the reason I give this place a chance. I went to have a seat in the waiting area after I was done seeing the doctor, to take note of some things and the other desk employee asked me if I was checking out in a rude tone. As if it weren’t okay for me to have a seat for a moment and gather my belongings…. I almost want to laugh it’s ridiculous. The doctor addressed my concerns and Kayla being as nice as she was will be the reason I give this place a chance.

I’ve been a patient of this office for several years. I transitioned to Dr. Erin Ibler when my doctor moved locations. I always find her very patient, informed and easy to talk to. At my last appointment, she outlined what she would be able to take care of at my appointment and what would require a separate appointment which I appreciate. She also provided helpful information about the issues I’m dealing with. Additionally, her assistant, I believe her name was Bri, was very helpful and helped keep me calm during the procedure. Front desk is always nice and I’m always seen promptly.

Doctors and staff are friendly, effective and knowledgeable, however this practice is impossible to contact outside business hours (only no-reply email accounts, and robot call tree immediately hangs up when you request to leave a voicemail). I have been waiting a week for them to fill 2 prescriptions with no word on any of it, so i can't recommend them for anything urgent or time sensitive. I hope they get their logistic game sorted out because this poor communication and customer service is not acceptable, and I hope my next dermatology office does better.

The staff is kind, patient and have a great process going! I did not wait in line, all my questions were answered. They made the experience quick and easy and the Doctor is amazing as well. She’s clear and thorough! I left the facility satisfied!

I’ve been here 3 years ago for my son and the visit was cookie cutter, didn’t give me any information about my son’s eczema that I didn’t already know. Decided to come back recently for my daughter since its location is convenient and I just wanted a diagnosis - again, a very basic visit. Well, my daughter (3 months) had a rash that looked infected today so I called to see if they could squeeze me in. Scheduler said yes they keep urgent slots open for these kinds of things so I left a message for the nurse. Hours went by so I called back a few times. Eventually got a hold of them just to tell me there’s no way I can get her in or treated with them at all that day. The lady on the phone asked me “is she breathing?” .. yes clearly my daughter is breathing I was just looking to get the right medication for her skin infection.
