Pretty good place, ive been going here for a while now. Girls at the front are always super friendly and willing to help with any scheduling, always a smiling face and good attitude. I went to Dr Singh for a little, but felt he was very dismissive and had a “I’m better than you” attitude. I’ve heard other patients say the same thing the both times I saw him. Another patient suggested Dr. berk, he’s great Had to knock one star off for the disappoining, bad attitude I got from the first provider I saw. Glad I decided to stick it out. Keep up the good work!
Dr. Mark was my first male Dr ever so I was a little nervous. He was great! Gentle, informative, and relaxed.
I went in today for a full body skin check and what great attention to detail I received! Lilly seated me and updated my health history and was very pleasant. Dr. Singh did a very thorough skin check and explained everything to me in detail. He gave me great skin care recommendations that no other dermatologist has ever given me. He also has great bed side manner!
I rarely give reviews and let alone a bad one. However, The Skin Care Center in Chicago deserves this one star. As a POC, I am very hesitant of medical spaces and have very little trust in them. This place re-instills that fear. I went in for a minor skin issue, told they wanted to get labs and then rushed me out the door. After several weeks later, I get a bill from my labs that was over $1,200 dollars. Luckily insurance covered their part but I still have a huge portion of it left to pay. According to this bill, my were labs were sent to a place in South Carolina. I would love to know why my labs were sent that far when there was one right down the street that was in network. It seems this company has a connection with the South Carolina lab for some reason. I would have not agreed to the labs if I known that it was going to be sent that far away and that it would be OUT OF NETWORK and not preferred by my insurance. I was absolutely blindsided. I do not recommend The Skin Care Center at all. As a reminder to patients, please advocate where your labs are being sent to. A hard lesson learned on my end.
Booked an appointment for a treatment after my consult 6 weeks in advance. Even took a day off work especially to accommodate the dr’s working days only to be called 3 days before the appointment first to be told that that dr isn’t working that day and so asked to be seen by someone else. After some back and forth they scheduled me with a different dr which I was completely ok with it. Then I get a call back an hour later saying they don’t even have the machine 🤦🏽♀️. Nothing worse than lying to your patients, as someone who also works in healthcare pretty awful management here.
