RC Dermatology Ames

I have had two appointments in Ames with Paiton. The first over a year ago was good. The second one last month was horrible. The appointment felt rushed. They did not communicate well and didn't perform the tasks the appointment was scheduled for. The bill was rather huge and not reflective of what was actually performed. When I contacted their office, I was told an untruth. They have lost my trust. I have made an appointment with another dermatologist from another company to do what RC Dermatology completely failed to do.

I've been canceled 2 times again this morning with paiton. They sent me a text 2 minutes after 5pm last night that it's been canceled again 2nd time. Sent a text that this is the 2nd time again and left my number to call me in the morning. I get another text saying I have an appointment at 10.30 am. I texted them back do I have a appointment this morning? No unfortunately blah blah blah same crap. But you can call our office in Ankeny or Des Moines. I wouldn't even give them 1 star. What a 3 weeks of wasted time. Also going to report them to better business bureau. Looking at the reviews I not the only one complaining.

I was 5 minutes late to my appointment and they said they could not take me. While I would normally understand and agree with this policy, I had just drove an hour and half from school to attend also I was on track to be 20 minutes early for most the trip. I just so happened to get stuck in bad traffic when I was almost there that caused me to be late. I have also been going for around half a year and have not seen any improvement in my skin. Considering that she usually only spends around 5 minutes looking at my skin and they are usually running behind schedule, I see no reason why she shouldn’t have been able to see me. Just one more time I would like to emphasize the fact that I had drove an hour and a half for this appointment and was a returning customer.

Paiton continues to impress me with her knowledge, her professionalism, and her kind manner! 👍🙂

Paiton and her staff are AMAZING! They're also very kind and accommodating. Office is very small, quiet and clean. She has taken care of our little boy since be was a baby for severe skin breakouts and I then I also decoidedt o establish there and don't regret it!
