I saw Dr. Knuckles for the first time. The office was packed. I was still seen in a timely manner. The nurse that did the intake form was very nice and compassionate. The dr. Was a trip! She made me feel comfortable and at ease about my problem right away. The staff was friendly and efficient. I would see her again if needed.
I had my visit in Feb. 2024 and I not have any negatives to share. The front office staff was pleasant and when I called later with a follow-up question, they quickly addressed my concerns. Dr. Knuckles is a bit blunt but efficient and kind. The person assisting her was extremely helpful and professional. I spent a while in the waiting room before my appointment but with almost every seat filled, that’s to be expected.
I have been going to Dr. Knuckles for years and actually have recommended her …always with a disclaimer that she is always running late and the wait time is beyond acceptable. I also add that she is pretty judgmental and likes to give her opinions on religion and politics. However, i felt like she was knowledgeable and thorough, so I overlooked her unprofessional behavior. The last time I was there…it was too much to overlook. I suppose she assumes everyone or all her patients share her political views because when you walk into the waiting room, there was a life size flag of the president elect. If that was not enough of an unprofessional atmosphere, the receptionists and some of the patients were laughing and ridiculing those voters and their unhappiness about the election outcome. Business professionalism and politics should not mix in the same environment! The complete disregard of patients and the lack of respect for patients feelings and time are too much to ignore.
If I could give it a zero I would. Today was my third time in dr knuckles office. The first time was fine, nothing to write home about, awkward in the fact that during a full body check for skin cancer, without notice she separated my butt cheeks to inspect. In and of itself is fine, but a little forewarning is warranted when something invasive will be taking place, my previous dermatologist had a little more decorum. Second visit, I waited for almost 2 hours past my appointment time. When she finally came in she thanked me for being patient and said a gentleman before me had been very upset. Now to today, I scheduled this appointment 3 months ago for my daughter. After waiting an hour past my appointment I stepped out of the room and asked someone how much longer it would be. I was informed that they had no idea. I expressed my discontent with the waiting well past my appointment time and that this isn’t the first time it happened. I said I would give her 10 more minutes and then we were leaving. The woman laughed as she walked away. Dr knuckles charged in the room about 1 minute later and said she isn’t the doctor for me. To which I thoroughly agreed. I stood to exit and said my time is valuable and waiting over an hour past my time is unacceptable. She replied that everyone else’s time is valuable also. It is apparently not valuable to her since she books herself to the point where people are waiting way beyond what is acceptable to see her and does it continuously. This isn’t an isolated incident. I could never express in words the level of annoyance and disrespect I feel when a doctor treats patients like their time doesn’t matter and they can wait for unreasonable time periods. It is selfish and quite frankly shows the greed the doctor has since she needs to book herself to heavily. When I walked out she said I could fine a doctor who take 40-60 patients a day and be out like that and snapped her fingers. I don’t know how many patients she sees daily But clearly she is over extending herself in the name of greed. Find another doctor. Dr knuckles is horrible.
I've heard she is a fantastic doctor. My grandpa had melanoma and she was fantastic, according to him. I would love to tell you my experience with her as a doctor, but I have yet to see her. I have had 3 appointments with her, and haven't seen her once. First appointment, I was in the waiting room for 2 hours, and finally just got fed up and left. A few months later, I decide to try again. Second appointment, got there and she's not in. Some type of family emergency. I don't fault her for that, but a phone call would have been nice. Third appointment, wait for an hour and a half, and they tell us (a full waiting room) that she has a meeting to attend and it will be another 30 to 40 minutes. Listen, I'm not a doctor or a government official, or anything super impressive. But I am a full-time student and a full-time worker. My time is just as precious to me as a doctor's. I don't understand how you can run a business like this. It is not fair to your patients, and frankly it's just rude. Like I said, I've heard she's a wonderful doctor, but good luck trying to see her, and if you really want to see her, prepare to throw away an evening.
