MD Claiborne Dermatology: Dr. Martin Claiborne

Dr. Cole Claiborne is one of the nicest and Informative Dermatologist I’ve ever met. He’s very down to earth, unlike most doctors. He takes a lot of time with you and will make you feel very comfortable.

My first appointment Dr. Claiborne hurriedly shaved a mole off without discussing with me the price or really explaining to me thoroughly the reason. I was told my results would come in a week or two. It took four weeks to be given my test results, thankfully with nothing to report. After my mole was shaved off it wasn’t healing well and I called to ask if I could come in to have anyone look at it- nurse, doctor, etc. and that it would be a waived appointment, as this would only take a minute. I just got a bill in the mail for the glance that I was told would be at no cost. Both times I went to the office I noticed that the counters in the rooms were dirty. I would not recommend going to this office. I would not want anyone else to have the same experience.

Dr Vogel is an amazing doctor. She takes her time with you. Very knowledgeable of the situation at had. Gives great suggestions and advice on issues and had solved each situation I have come in for. Her staff is very informative and she is not hard to contact for any reason. I highly recommend this office for all your dermatology needs

Just like many people who rely on Yelp, Google and etc for reviews, this place had great ratings and one of the many perks is it’s not too far away from our business…. I made an appt in advanced for my mom to get a growth on her side face to be checked out. I called the office last month and spoke to someone very nice and accommodating to schedule her appt. I specifically told her all the info on the insurance card and asked if they take my moms insurance. She said they do accept it and scheduled me for the appt. Ive requested the uptown location and she made it work for me. She made sure we have to be on time at 7:30am ( appt for 8am, but gotta arrive early for new patients) due to busy schedule. This morning we arrived at 7:40am ( big oppsie ) and front desk had an attitude and rud. I get it, we were late and that pushes them behind.. and it was our fault. But, we made it before 8am, and I’m assuming filling out paper work and etc doesn’t take more than 10 mins? Shes not coming in to have surgery. She just needs to see the doctor to see if this thing is malignant or benign. On top of her rudeness, she said the type of insurance my mom has needs a referral?! HELLO!! You couldn’t tell me that when I made the appt?! You’re going to wait for me to go through thick n thin to make it to this appt, for u to basically tell me something that could’ve been told over the phone a month ago?! Then, I asked if I can just pay out of pocket and not use insurance? yes, we have insurance, but at this point, we’re willing to pay just for be seen because we went through some inconveniences to be here. She then said we can’t do that because it’s fraud- fraud?! Please make it make sense. This rating is for the initial interaction with the front desk and not the doctors. I’m sure they’re great from reading the reviews.. It sucks and makes me angry to have to deal with rude people who have no sympathy and kindness for patients. For those who have to make arrangements or looking forward to the appt, please be aware!
