Menocal Family Practice

I just moved here from California. My appointment was with Jessica Bas, CRNP as a new patient. Im 68 yrs old & was nervous getting a new doctor. She was incredible! Spent alot of time with me. Covered every issue & meditations I was on. I've never been more impressed in my life!!! To top it off the staff was excellent. Everyone greets you and makes you feel so special! You can't find a better place! So glad I moved to Maryland!

If it wasn't for the actual physicians giving good care, I'd leave a one star. What everyone else is complaining about is unfortunately all too accurate. 80% of the time I sit in the lobby for a solid 25-45 minutes, even an hour one time WITH AN APPOINTMENT. Calling the office is nearly pointless, they hardly ever return a call, and when they do, it's a day or two later. Left multiple voice messages because for some reason at two separate occasions throughout a normal business day absolutely no one picked up the phone, not even to ask me to hold (which is all too common as well.) I will say, recently the phone staff has been nicer, but it doesn't really matter if you never get anyone on the phone I suppose. The physicians I've dealt with have been great, but literally all other aspects have been disappointing. The only reason I haven't left this practice is because I'm simply too lazy to go look for another. But I think I've about had it as well now.

Nobody answers the phone if you try to schedule an appointment. You email them following the procedure online, and they call you 5 days after to let you know that you don't have an appointment!! A joke. Dr. Menocal or Office Manager: You need to fix this today. What you do is so disrespectful in many ways. Not to mention that after all of that, the waiting time in the lobby is 45-70 minutes. A joke. Doctors are great, this is not their fault but I wouldn't hire your admin people

I waited an hour to be called back and the girl who took me back to check me in was not friendly at all. I then had to wait another 35 minutes in the room to be seen. The only upside was being seen by the provider Chris. He was very attentive and helpful with every concern I had. I’ve been going to this office for a while and every time I go the service goes a little further down hill. Not happy at all with the way my care was handled. I’m not sure if it’s short staffing or what the problem may be but they should have a better system in place to attend to the patients so that we are not waiting close to 2 hours to be seen. If you have to go to Menocal ask for Chris he is fantastic. I gave the office itself 2 stars but I give Chris 5!!

This is a really great practice! Dr. Menocal is amazing, but every physician I’ve seen here was awesome. The medical assistant for Dr. Haas was one of the best I’ve ever encountered. He was very young, but asked really great questions about what I was dealing with and was very empathetic about my health problems. Thank you!!
