I went in today to get lip filler and I will definitely be back! I had such a great experience and my results already look great! Dr. Shermak and Tori are the best! My experience from start to finish was absolutely flawless. I had a bicycle accident in July 2023 that caused a very uncommon soft tissue injury on my right hip called a Morel-Lavallée lesion (MML). An MML occurs when a shearing force separates the skin and subcutaneous tissue from the underlying fascia, which resulted in fluid filling a pocket under the skin. I was initially referred to a trauma surgeon who told me to compress it for a few months to see if my MML bump would shrink. If it did not compress, the plan was to surgically open the area, clean out the excess tissue and stitch me back up layer by layer. I decided to look for a less invasive solution. After delaying the surgery for a year, I came across Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Michele Shermak. Dr. Shermak came up with a straight forward, minimally invasive approach and the results exceeded my expectations. The surgery went exactly as she described and my recovery went much faster than I expected. After over a year of dealing with this injury the pressure from the pocket is finally gone. Even better, I am now able to wear jeans and sleep on my right side. From the initial consultation through the follow-up visits, I have been completely satisfied with my experience and the results. I highly recommend Dr. Shermak.
