Expect long waits of upwards 5 hours without any accommodation (no tvs, old magazines, no radio), no communication with the front desk and nursing as to wait times or actual patient care. I’ve called many times and they don’t know why or for what. Actually got scheduled for an appointment (which they confirmed over the phone) and when I got there, they had no clue why I was there, but they found something just to make that money! You will get talked about and made fun of in the hallways or even up front in front of other patients and if you’re anywhere remotely close to the desk you can see anyone and everyone’s information. They won’t put in your prescriptions on time and if you have speciality medicine they will tell you it’s insurance issues for months on hand but make sure to call your insurance, they didn’t fill out paperwork correctly which delayed insurance by 2 months. There’s other dermatologist in Port Huron, do your self a favor and go to the others. Hamzavi’s is a monopoly that doesn’t actually care about you, just your money. Some staff are okay others are rude. Some doctors are okay but most are lukewarm at best.
I called before scheduling my daughters appointment online to make sure they take her insurance. Was told yes and there is not a specific provider that she would need to see. Scheduled her appointment almost 2 months out for their first new patient appointment. Received emails and text messages confirming her appointment. Showed up 20 minutes before appointment to fill out paperwork. Front desk staff took ID and Insurance Card after the woman next to her finished her conversation which appeared to be during her lunch break (food all over the counter). Had me sit down and start the paperwork to be told 10 minutes later they do not accept her insurance.. I am very unimpressed with this office's care for patients time, efforts to show up early, and have all the needed information they need to do their job; just for them to not do the job. The office manager was asked if their was an exception for this case because they do in fact take her insurance, but only can take so many patients... so they turned her away because they have met their quota on the states requirements for them to get funding.
Always kind, knowledgeable and professional. I have been coming here for over 15 years! Its misery having chronic skin problems but a blessing to have such a fine facility caring for the needs of my skin. The in house pharmacist is very kind, skilled and convenient also!
Extremely unprofessional receptionist there that don’t want to do their job and have a major attitude problem. It’s obvious by the other reviews this place had went way downhill lately. It’s your job you signed up for it. Being lazy is unacceptable. I’m sure if the quality of the workers in the front are going downhill the rest of the place is a mess now to. I’ll give a better more professional dermatologist my $.
What the heck. Impossible to pay my bill. Have been trying for 3 weeks. Tried the web. It keeps saying invalid card number. The phone is s joke too. Fire the billing dept!
