Let me preface this by saying Dr Aitken is a good surgeon who works at a bad office. My first surgery with Dr Aitken was a breast and arm lift and I am overall happy with my results. However, when scheduling a second procedure with her, I discovered the office had FORGED my signature on a financial document. They brushed the concerns off initially and then advised the staff member had been let go, but they hadn’t find any other inconsistencies. This seems inconsistent itself. I asked for a refund on my deposit as I cannot trust this office after they committed a felony. They said they refunded my original payment method despite me making them aware that credit card and account is closed. Overall I would avoid Dr Aitken while she still works at Plastic Sugery Associates, Grand Rapids. I am not leaving this review lightly, but I want potential patients to be aware that some shady stuff is happening behind the scenes.

My surgery was Dec 18th, 2024 I had an exceptional experience with Dr. Renucci and the Plastic Surgery Associates team. After years of dealing with droopy eyelids that caused discomfort and makeup challenges (eyeliner would melt off), I decided to move forward with eyelid surgery based on trusted recommendations. From the consultation to post-operative care, the process was seamless. Dr. Renucci was professional, thorough, and reassuring, and the staff was friendly and efficient. Surgery day went smoothly, and the healing process was straightforward. Within weeks, I saw life-changing results! Dr. Renucci’s expertise and attention to detail are unparalleled. After going to a handful of consultations at different offices, I scheduled my surgery the same day I met with Dr. Aitken. She asked questions and pointed out things none of the other surgeons had and I really felt like she understood what I wanted. During surgery due to my body shape she went with a larger size than we previously planned on. Truly goes to show how important it is to find a surgeon that knows what you want and can make it happen during surgery because she nailed it! If she hadn't understood what I was trying to achieve and just went with the sizer I had picked, I probably would be feeling a little disappointed with the outcome. Three weeks post op and loving my look a little more every day! Super happy with my experience here and would highly recommend!!

Two years ago I had a rhinoplasty done by Dr. Vander Woude who completely botched my nose. From the front view, my nose was significantly bigger and crooked. After meeting with this Dr, he lied and said that my bone moved to the right and offered to do a second surgery in order to recorrect it. After he performed the second surgery, my nose turned out worse and still wasn't straight. During our last meeting, I asked what had happened as I had spent thousands of dollars and experienced painful recovery for both procedures. He wasn't able to provide an explanation for this botched job and offered to do a third surgery. At this point, I didn't trust his word and had to travel to a different state to have surgery from a specialist in rhinoplasty. I also inquired about a compensation since I lost thousands of dollars and ended up with worse results after surgery. It's been over 3 months and I have not received a call or any notice about a compensation. I'm writing this review to bring awareness to my terrible experience working with Dr. Vander Woude and hope to prevent further botched jobs where individuals don't have the finances to undergo several surgeries. I love Plastic Surgery Associates and specifically, Dr. Kriebal! I have been working with her for my reconstruction after I survived breast cancer. This wasn't the first Plastic Surgeon I met with. I was very picky. But she will definitely be the last! She listens, she's very thorough with explaining everything, she's super intelligent (not all doctors are, let's be honest), she even wipes my tears when my emotions get the best of me. I love her!!
