Really wanted to like this place, and even went back to give it another shot after a negative experience. At every appointment I was left waiting for 40 minutes alone in a room past my appointment time. During one appointment I seriously considered leaving. Dr. Pierre-Louis came in very hurriedly and maybe spent 5 minutes with me each time. During my first appointment she prescribed literally over half a dozen different things and didn't explain what they were for, possible side effects, or anything else to me which I feel is poor med management. They have a sign in all the rooms saying that the negative online reviews are fake, which is a red flag in itself. I didn't even read the reviews until seeing that and found that many of the experiences were similar to mine. Unfortunately, I won't be going back.
Hello readers! I went to Twin Cities Dermatology two days ago after going to several other hair and skin places. I was treated so kindly by Myra, Abby. and Dr Pierre-Louis. They displayed genuine interest in what were your needs, reviewed lab work and honestly told you the status of your aging thinning and shedding hair that does terrify me that it is happening to me. It certainly appeared to me that developing a relationship with a client was important to the staff and doctor that makes a client feel listened to and is given some hope with the prescriptions ordered that was just what I needed. So thank all of you for your kindness, cheerfulness and a sense of hope to improve my hair condition. See you in February! Sincerely
Don’t go here if you value honesty and good communication. I visited about 2-3 years ago during a very vulnerable time in my life to seek treatment but have been going through a series of unfortunate events causing financial hardship. I consulted with my nurse and the doctor at the time that I can’t afford out of pocket expenses and I needed to be sure my medical insurance covered it. I was told during and before appointments that my insurance covered everything - yes I asked them to confirm 100% because I didn’t want bills I couldn’t afford. If I couldn’t afford the treatment AND insurance didn’t cover it I wasn’t going to have the treatment done. Here I am 2-3 year later getting a notice for a bill I didn’t know existed and shouldn’t have existed based on my communication with the staff. So now I’m being blindsided by a $600+ bill when I was told all my appointments and treatments were covered and already paid for. No one contacted me about this. Not mention during one of my visits the Dr brought up very vulnerable information and asked me about personal things that had nothing to do with my appointment(because she knew a patient that was related to me and had apparently spoken to her about some personal things during her appointment.) and why I was there. Also my weight was targeted when that wasn’t the cause of the flare ups I was having. I was in an abusive relationship at the time and didn’t know why I was getting sick and my skin and body was experiencing what it was. It had nothing to do with my weight and if anything my weight was also another side affect of the abuse I was experiencing. Very unprofessional - terrible experience. Don’t confirm to your patients that you checked with insurance and they covered the bill if the bill wasn’t actually covered and paid. This office is very sketchy and all over the place. EDIT TO RESPONSE: Save the generic response - that wasn’t the issue, don’t blame insurance, it was the office and the staffs fault. If she’s dedicated to good service then all of this would’ve been conducted correctly. The office, nurse and doctor lied saying that they checked and the insurance confirmed it was all covered 100%. If the insurance wasn’t going to cover it all they would’ve made that known and clear just like any other medical experiences I’ve had elsewhere. Then don’t even have the nerve to take accountability. “If you feel you have been wronged” - such a gaslighting robotic response. It’s not a FEELING it’s a FACT.
Happy that I came across Twin Cities Dermatology Center. Staff is friendly. Clean office space. Wait times are kind of long, but a little patience never hurt. Dr. Margareth Pierre-Louis listened to my skin concerns and helped to ensure the best plan of care for me! My skin has cleared up tremendously and I am very pleased with services provided!
I am previous patient of Dr. Pierre, she's a good doctor. But her staff has changed over the years and are not a good representation of her clinic. The responses I received from the clinics text messaging service is what caused me to discontinue going to Dr.Pierre's clinic. The responses were untimely and unprofessional. And I could never reach a staff member or Dr.Pierre during office hours.
