Dismissive and uninformed. I won’t return and would not recommend. I was prescribed a medication and called a month later for guidance related to a side effect I was experiencing. The nurse was extremely dismissive, telling me it couldn’t possibly be related to the treatment. When I said I’d seen multiple sources online indicating it was a potential side effect, she again dismissed my concerns, saying you can’t believe everything you read online. My sources were the Mayo Clinic and GoodRx. Upon further research, this side effect is also listed on the drug manufacturer’s adverse effects on the label. In the end, I was unable to get my questions answered because the nurse who prescribed the medication was completely uninformed about its side effects and unwilling to believe my experience was valid.
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE service every tim!!!. They never listen, they rush us out of the appointment time and time again. They NEVER refill prescriptions and I’ve had to call NUMEROUS times to get anyone to actually send the refill to the pharmacy. I don’t recommend them. You’re better off going to a dermatologist that cares. One that will hear you. Not judge you for the color of your skin. As Hispanic adoptees we are AMERICANS!! And we have been treated like dirt. Horrible service. Don’t waste your time. No one cares and they don’t complete the work our insurance is paying them to do.
I had been seeing Dr. Davis for several visits. She’s got a strong personality, but had always been appropriate… before my final visit. On my final visit, when she came in the room, I mentioned that I was cold because I’d been sitting in the paper robe for some time before she came in. I wasn’t aggressive at all. Dr. Davis, as she replied, got completely worked up to where she was yelling at me. She said that patients were always complaining about her being late, when they were the ones making her late with all her questions (my appointment was one of the first, if not the first, of her appointments that morning, incidentally). She was irate. She actually took off her mask and threw it on the floor and said she wouldn’t see me! This all happened as I’m sitting on the examination bench wearing only a paper robe. I was aghast, as was the kind nurse who was also in the room. I feel bad for her staff, who have always been lovely. I have waited to post this, because I thought that maybe Dr. Davis was going through something in her life and that she would apologize to me later. But no apology ever came, other than from her gracious staff, who seemed to be mortified by Dr. Davis’s conduct.
I saw Jennifer Ruhland and she was extremely nice and very knowledgeable! All of the staff there are very pleasant and helpful.
I had a really great experience at Uptown Dermatology & Skin Spa. The receptionists were very friendly, greeted me and got me checked in shortly after my arrival. The nurse was friendly too and asked me all the questions needed for my visit. The doctor was very informative, honest and let me know what my next steps were in order to continue my treatment. I'm glad to have found a dermatology office near my home and I plan to continue going here.
