Modern Dermatology & Aesthetics of Gulfport

I had a really great experience at Modern Dermatology and Aesthetics..the front desk staff were really kind and Amy was great to work with. She is very knowledgeable and takes a lot of pride in her work. I got a chemical peel to help with uneven skin tone and the results were amazing. I would recommend this clinic to anyone looking for help with their skin or other aesthetics services. They are professional and make you feel really comfortable. Also, the aesthetics consultations are free and the treatment plans are individualized since everyone has different skin types and issues.

I went to Modern Dermatology because I needed surgery on my upper lip for skin cancer. Dr. Hansen is my regular dermatologist but she doesn't do MOHS surgery and had referred me to another clinic but I decided to go to Modern Dermatology. I had to wait over a hour to get the results. Dr. Lewis and his nurse didn't communicate with me much. When I went back, the nurse couldn't remove one stitch and the doctor said to just leave it and my body would work it out. I went home and removed it myself with no pain or bleeding. Why couldn't a certified nurse not remove it but a lay person could? Beats me! Y When he found out I was going to continue using Dr. Hansen he was done... over it... whatever. He never ask if I wanted any imperfections from the surgery fixed. I would not recommend this place to anyone! IN RESPONSE to the reply I got back from the office... the nurse said out loud there was one stitch she could NOT get out and had the doctor come look at it and then he said my body would work it out. GEEZ!!!

I moved down here from Wisconsin with almost 30 years of ORIGINAL records from my Dermatologist who had retired. When I went to my 1st appointment I gave them ALL of my records so they could make copies and have them on file. My last appointment there was nothing but a nightmare. The doctor didn't even look at my foot and told me to get a fungus cream at Walmart and charged me $123 for nothing pretty much. I then asked for my records back. Not only did they NOT make copies but DESTROYED my ORIGINAL records instead of giving them back to me. It WASN'T THEIRS TO DESTROY 🤬🤬🤬

Dr. Saylors and Nurse Lacy did an amazing job with me yesterday. 4/13/2022 I had a facial cyst removed and sent for biopsy. I was a nervous wreck and Nurse Lacy comforted me, I’m so grateful, and Dr. Saylors was prompt and thorough. He talked me through the procedure and his plan for having it biopsied, while also making sure I had no concerns or questions before sending me to surgery for prep. When I had questions he answered them without hesitation and even acknowledged my husbands questions and concerns. Definitely recommend for thorough and proper care. Thank you Modern Derma.

My wife and I, a retired veterinarian, have been using this skin clinic in Gulfport for almost 20 years, but when we went in today for a skin exam, my wife had left her insurance card at home and she was refused care, even though the office had her insurance documentation on file from last year. I offered to send them a picture of her documents when we returned home, but the aloof staff wouldn't listen. We left together without seeing Dr. Lewis who, in any case, had left the clinic for lunch. I have consequently requested our medical records so we can find another dermatologist who, hopefully, will be more empathetic.
