Nevada Regional Medical Center

Took my son in because he had a fever and was coughing and I had been to an urgent care the week before and they said take him to the hospital if he gets any worse. I get there and they are nice and they do a chest X-ray but only do the X-ray and after looking at the chest X-ray they said he has a virus but didn't test him for what virus because they said "all viruses are treated the same" and told me to just keep giving him Tylenol and Ibrophen. So I take him to another urgent care down in Joplin and he has a double ear infection which has to be treated with an antibiotic not just Tylenol. So I'm giving 2 stars only because they are nice but my sons eardrums could have exploded and he could have lost his hearing because they didn't even check his ears.

Dr. Barns told me that they understood my problem - yet did absolutely nothing. No help for a suicidal man. No IV, no fluids, and I was sent out to walk home at 4am. No referral to the third floor. No fluids, nothing. Dr. Barns even had the gall to call a seizue I experienced "Nothing"

I don't understand the complaints on here. So far, my experience with Nevada Regional has been excellent. Kind folks and they've offered all the services I need and much easier and faster to see those folks than in a large city. A huge benefit to the Nevada, Vernon county and western Missouri.

I was just at this hospital due to terrible chronic anxiety couldn’t eat couldn’t sleep and dr. Christy Walter listened to me helped me got a plan of treatment started for me & not only that she went as far as giving me one of her business cards with mental health help that she does and i was in a really bad place and she truly cared and listened to me im so beyond thankful for her and all the nursing staff were polite and talked to me and helped me get through a really hard place im so thankful to them

The nurses and doctor were awesome. We came in due to the fact my fiance had a car rotor land on his arm and cut it open. They treated us with respect and helped us out as soon as we got here.
